I used to have a VHS tape many years ago and on it was a reciever who was laid out by one of our DB's. Either his mouth piece or part of his helmet went flying.

Another one was a long run and one of our speed guys ran him down and stripped the ball.

Both of these were in the '80's.

I just want to say thanks to everyone for posting the videos. It was awesome to relive so many great moments in Vol history.....here's to more!

I know it is a recent one, but in my 30 years or so of watching the Vols, it's hard to beat the Hail Mary against Georgia last year. Just the epic end to that game.......I don't think I have ever been through so many emotions in such a short period of time.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane Volnation, honestly, my best memories of Volunteer Football will always be all of the great times spent with my fellow fans. You guys are the greatest fans in all of sports, and there is no one I would rather spend a fall Saturday with.

The first hit you described sounds like Andre Creamer vs Rutgers in 85. He was a vicious hitter.

Chuck Webb vs Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl

Go to 1:54 of the video (or watch the whole thing). Incredible 250 yard performance.

I was at that game...great one

Bill duff stuffing Eddie George in citrus bowl vs. Ohio state...

Every big play vs ND in 90...or 91?

Jay grams run vs ga in 95 to set up gw fg

Pick a play vs Michigan 01 citrus bowl...

One of the best UT running backs. I was at the Ole Miss game when he ran for about 4000 yards.

299.... still can't believe they didn't give him the ball again to get it over 300..

Best day I've seen by a TN RB... maybe ever.

What about the most complete game (imo) Tennessee has played in the last decade? A 35-14 butt whooping of a Georgia team that finished #2 in the nation.

This game won the East for the Vols in 2007. It is a game that shows what Tennessee Football is all about. Power football, line of scrimmage dominance on both sides and above all, adherence to the maxims.

My favorite play is at 1:33, a brilliant trickery TD pass from Lucas Taylor that told Georgia it was going to be a long day!

Was this the game after the editorial?

How about Dustin Colquitt's punt to seal the deal in the 2003 game at Miami?! Still one of my favorite games as a young Vol fan.

Lets go way back. (1973)

I don't have the video, but Eddie Brown blocking a field goal and getting 3 teeth knocked out. After that, in the same game, he had a 74 yard interception return, a 48 yard punt return and a fumble recovery.
I loved to watch him play. Back then I had to hear about him from John Ward, since we weren't on TV every week.

He was a tough dude for sure, a gamer. :hi:

The td vs uga last year, the TS screen pass vs uga in 01 even though we lost, and I think the Witten TD vs Arkansas in 02 are my 3 favorites .

Everyone remembers the Stoerner fumble, but the drive that followed it was what made it. All Travis Henry, right down their throats. Not a single play I know, but that drive is one of my all time favorites.

Greg Amsler hurdled a Va defender in the Sugar Bowl. Seems the clock was running had he went down the win may not have happened.

I think Dooley was a WR on that Va team.

This is not one specific play, but when we got near the end zone, I always looked forward to the "up and over" leap!!!!!!!!

James "Little Man" Stewart was one of the best imo.

It was a loss but I still like the hit Eric Berry put on Moreno.
