A post I made earlier made me think of the old margarine commercials in the 70s.

Chiffon "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature"

Imperial - people ate some and a crown appeared on their head

Parkay - an annoying margarine entity corrected you if you thought it was butter "It's Parkay"


I've got a ton of favorites. What are yours?

Nothing beats the old Coca-Cola commercials....."I'd like to teach the world to sing..."

Wait...maybe the "I've fallen...and I can't get up" commercials.

Believe it or not I am friends with the guy who wrote that commercial. He did our commercials for the business I owned. His name is David Averick from Santa Barbara. He and his wife come to Jonesboro TN for the story telling convention.

I was fascinated by the commercials for the VW Thing. I wondered how it could be bright yellow going into a tunnel and come out the other side polka dotted. (I was 4 or 5 at the time)

American Tourister had some great commercials.

Eveready battery commercials with Robert Conrad.

Joe Greene coke commercial

Subaru commercial where dude just tells huge lies. Like: and you can buy a new Subaru for.....4 dollars.

the Sylvania TV commercials where the Sony TV executive fires off a string of Japanese expletives upon learning "Sylvania beat Sony again??!!"

Probably the best of all was the 'Teach the world to sing' Coke commercial.

Still sticks in my mind.... 'You can trust your car to the man who wears the star...'
