Favorite Lesser-known Vols

Craig Faulkner. Wes Welker reminds me of him, the way he finds a way to get open on the slants and then run for crazy YAC.

I was always a Faulkner fan too:rock:. The guy had a crazy toughness about him. I was always a big Jayson Swain too, just something about him I always rooted for.

Cedric Kline...was fearsome (Is a good friend of my brother and lives down the road from him now)

Chris Wampler....one lineman you did not want to mess with (he also coached me son in football last year :)

When I think of the phrase "I will give my all for Tennessee today," my list starts with Billy Ratliffe. He saved the season.

In football...Julian Battle

Basketball... SCOOTER MCFADDEN...he was lofton, before we had lofton. Dude could shoot.

More basketball:
Gary Carter
Howard Wood
Myron Carter
Michael Brooks....closest thing to Lofton I can think of.

Not to be disrespectful...but Scotter McFadden couldn't hold Lofton's gym shorts.

Chris White was a good one. if i remember correctly he lead the nation in int's the sugar bowl year,

Jimmy Nooooooooooonan (aka Tazmanian Devil)

Craig Puuuuuuuuuuuuuki

The crowds loved screaming those out

Bubba Miller, I know he went pro but when you think UT, he is not one of the names that comes to mind instantly. When he was at UT, I was a member of the Boys&Girls club, he came during the summer ( most UT players did, most just came a few times though ) he was a real cool guy.

Thomas 'TD' Woods. I believe he was UTs all-time leader in receptions (or rec yards) until Carl Pickens took over.

Craig King

If his knees had held up he would have been a monster. He would lay people out. I think it was 1996 or 1997 that he and Anthony Hampton were lined up beside each other on right side of the kickoff team. They just flew down the field and blew people up.

Roland Poles, Raynoch Thompson, Ryan Karl, Jeremaine Copeland, and Will Overstreet to name a few.

I don't understand the lovefest with Ryan Karl. He was undersized, slow, and couldn't tackle. He may have bled orange but I was glad to see him graduate. He was not an SEC linebacker.
