Favorite College Football Announcer?

I like Danielson and think he does a great job. I just hate that I have to listen to Verne at the same time.

This list really needs to be split into 2 categories, play by play and color commentary. They do 2 different things.

I can't stand Keith Jackson. I don't really have a favorite broadcaster. I mostly just notice the ones I don't like. Collinsworth has fantastic commentary on SNF.

Dave Neal and Dave Baker were great on Raycom. Where's Baker now? Dave Neal still great on ESPN, he is understated, intelligent and doesn't try to make the broadcast all about himself like some do.

Harlan is on the radio all of the time here in KC, since he lives on the Kansas side of the border. He is a classy guy!

Ron Franklin, Jerry Punch and the other guy who called with them, I forget his name, but those guys were the isht during night games. ESPN's current crew is abysmal.

I like the guys who announced our PPV game against OHIO. Thiers nothing like your ears bleeding and you wanting to rip your hair out and walk on a bed of salted glass, when your listening to thier commentary. If they only announced every game i could jab my ears with butcher knives and learn sign language.

i've actually always liked sean mcdonough. i grew to like him when he called alot of our game in '98.

I grew a strong dislike for him during the 98 season. It seemed he was constantly looking to point out every shot which could have percieved as a late hit, whether it was legit or not. He complained about us running up the score on UK, even though we had our backups in. Terry Donahue set him straight several times.

Go ahead and bash me but Ive always liked Verne. And of course Kesling. Now Im young and didnt listen to football til after Ward but I cant stand him on the replays. Also like Blackledge. Most others suck.

And I will say Danielson may not be liked but he is good. He calls alot of things correctly.
