I like anything that Jim Nantz does- cant stand Vern he needs to give it up!
Need to break it down to play by play and color?
Alot of good color commentators and few good play by play guys!

Sean McDounough and Troy Aikman, with Tony Saragoosa on the sidelines would make a hell of a team.

RON FRANKLIN and his partner. They use to do the SEC ESPN primetime games all the way since Peyton played. Loved that duo. I did like Verne on CBS til his tebow crush came out. Blackledge is awesome and so is Mike Patrick.

Blackledge and Franklin in a close second place.

Verne is blind and messes up all of the time. He calls out players names that were from the week before. I honestly feel sorry for Gary Danielson sometimes that he has to spend 12 weeks with that ice skating commentator that CBS has tried to pass by as a football play by play guy.

Franklin, Herbstreit & Blackledge are all good...but none can hold a candle to the Voice of the Vols (John Ward, how I miss his calls) & the legendary Lindsey Nelson. Hmmm, nobody has listed Buckeye Bob Kesling...imagine that!

I liked Keith Jackson until he got his Big 10 lobotomy. One that I really used to like as a kid.. even though he announced for the totally wrong team was Lindsay Nelson. Also.. Larry Munson was pretty entertaining too..

For TV there is only Ron Franklin. The rest are ok with the exception of Verne.

As soon as I read Verne Lundquist on list I stop reading. He may have been good on radio in 1930 but not anymore.

Danielson needs to send a thank you card to Kesling thanking him for being on radio and not TV, because Kesling would win this award every year with his stellar and error free play by play
