Several people on here are claiming that Florida, South Carolina, and Missouri are all swing games for us.

After combing the helmet schedule posted today it seems as if we have some favorable draws with the schedule.

Florida plays AT Texas A&M the week before us. We play at home vs GSU.

USCe plays AT the Swamp the week before us against a rough D. We do play Bama here but get them at home, and honestly have less pressure on us to win that game than USCe has to win at FLA with the east race looking tight.

Lastly Missouri draws FLA AT the swamp the week before us. We draw Troy at home and Mizzou has to come visit us right after Gainesville.

Love it.

I'm somewhat in agreement with this, with the one exception being the fact that I hope we enter the Alabama game with high expectations, because it means that we're winning.

Another way of looking at this is that iron sharpens iron. We may get overconfident by beating down small teams and get caught with our guard down in the games that are most important to us winning the SEC East.

Agreed. I'd call the middle point pretty much a draw. I'd definitely take 2 out of three of these games, but circumstances considered I think we contend easily in all 3

From a mental aspect of things I believe the outcome of the opener will play a big part in the direction of this season. I may be in the minority but I think it is a huge game.

If its me I'm cool with being at home for consecutive weeks while Florida travels 2400 miles before we play, and Mizzou about the same.

It helps but not much. We have been winning the opening game for the past few years.

NC State is going to be a really tough game. I live in Raleigh and I can vouch that the Wolfpack is a dangerous team. They have a strong passing game and an opportunistic D.

Traditional slow starter and finish strong. I would rather face them now instead of a bowl game.

Also we are Carolinas ninth straight game without a bye. Their bye comes the week after they play us.

In the three weeks before they play us, they play UGA at home, LSU in Baton Rouge and Florida in Gainesville.

Sets up pretty dang nice if you ask me.

After last season, we'd better not be overlooking anyone on our schedule. I want to put the curb-stomp on everyone.

Wow I'd say that swings the advantage our way.
