Volnation, I need a little help from the guru's! Having a discussion today with some friends and we were discussing the fastest players ever at our schools. I was just wondering if someone knew who the fastest player to ever don the O&W was/is??

Me, Willie Gault and that track team guy that carried the opening second half kickoff back for a TD against Georgia in about 2000ish?

Anthony Morgan...perhaps. Not very well remembered, but extremely fast!

Or Leonard Scott...

Leonard Scott is the guy I was trying to think of; wasn't much of a player but he could fly. Sam Grady (sp?) ws also an elite track guy who couldn't catch a bus with a ticket. He was so fast that the Denver Broncos tried to fit him onto their team after he couldn't even get off the bench in Knoxville. Then of course, Willie Gault.

Track wise, we could do a little research to see which of those three were actually the fastest. Coker also ran some track but I don't think he had the success of those three.
