How many times -- since foerever -- have our RBs been late to a hole or caught from behind?

According to the stats I've seen here, Quenshaun Watson is faster than Rainey in the 100 and the 200. Not sure about Demps.

Anybody remember Nukeese ripping off some long break- aways on reverses? Or how about Rainey going 70 on a 1 yard pass late in the 2011 game?

We badly need some burners and it looks like we now have (at least) one.

I believe Demps recently ran something close to a 10 flat 100. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, that is after being in a college weights and conditioning program. Not sure what his times were out of highschool, albeit fast I'm sure.

I bet we didn't order any redshirts this year, when did we last have the chance to use one? Just kidding, this class brought in talent that can use redshirts and develop nicely.

In his presser on NSD, Dooley was talking about Q's speed and how Devrin was our only option last year as a returner. I assume Q will be used in punt and kick-off returns along with Patterson. Whom Dooley also mentioned as a great KO return guy in his presser.

You're spot on. He ran a non-wind aided 10.01 and a wind aided 9.96 in the 100.

Before everyone gets carried away this guy was the least recruited player in this class. Even Blanc and Bullock were more highly recruited. Quenshaun had one offer other then our's and that was Indiana. I don't think we would have offered this guy had he not played at Dooley's old high school. That said he does look like he could develop into a decent player but lets give the kid a couple years before we start expecting to much from him. Quenshaun doesn't have "elite" speed but he is fast. Everyone keeps quoting his 100 time of 10.58 which is slightly faster then Devrin Young's best 100 time but not in the same league as Jeff Demps. Chris Rainey doesn't have a great 100 time but was actually faster then Demps was in the 40 with pads on which is what really counts. The smaller the player is the more the pads slow him down. When it comes to football 100m times are basically irrelevant except you know if a guy runs a sub 11 he's fast but the real yardstick is the 40. Since Queshaun didn't run the 40 in HS I'm assuming it wasn't his best. If you want to see speed in this recruiting class look at Daniel Gray he runs a 10.30 100 and a 4.3 40.

U know what they say about assuming... Maybe he didn't have the chance to run the 40.. Maybe he didn't go to many camps, which would explain the lack of offers.. Ya never know..

I only assumed his 40 wasn't his best race. That's the only thing I assumed. I have no idea why he didn't get more offers I was merely stating the fact that he didn't.

Why wouldn't he have a chance to run the 40 though? Anyone running track is going to always compete at what they are best at.

You assumed he was only offered because it was Dooley's high school.

Recruiting is too political. I think the kid is good.
