What are your true expectations for the upcoming football season? After the sudden departure of LK, and the hiring of a new coach, what record will Tn. fans accept as a successful year? What will be acceptable for 2011?

It was going to be a tough year no matter who was coach with all of the players that will be gone.I really don't know what I would find "acceptable" I guess if the team plays hard and at least gives us hope of winning(like the Bama game last year)then I think most of us would find satisfaction with that.

This is the exact situaton that Kiffin and company encountered ..no QB , no depth on the lines , new RB , talented young class coming it ...tough schedule.

7-5 is the regular season benchmark ...

I don't get how anyone could predict above 7-5. Do we have a QB that can walk and chew gum on the team that I don't know about? Or a QB that won't get snapped in two by any lineman in the SEC?

I am going with 5-7, 6-6, or 7-5 as our most likely outcomes this year. Tough situation for CDD and a murderer's row schedule.

8-4 with losses to Oregon, Florida, LSU, and Alabama. Second in the east behind Florida and playing in either the Cotton or the Chic-fil-a bowl.

Realistic prediction, so what for 2011?

I would think the wins would fall somewhere between 7 and 9. It's hard, because we have some out-of-conference games that could be interesting, depending on how those programs come along. Who knows, though, we'll have to see how our lines come along between now and then and how we build depth....and of course, what Bray does.

9-3 is very realistic if we actually come out and play with passion. (and not get our QB killed)

No, but we do have a group of QB's that are gonna compete their heart out for that starting job and the guy who deserves it best will be ready by fall.
