Fans who left early, how do you feel now?

We were on the first row behind UT bench.

Nobody left our area but I was embarrassed by (UT) folks behind us. They were sloppy drunk, four letter words and spilled beer all over my 9yr old niece and sister n law numerous times.

I never have understood why anyone would take their obvious lack of control with alcohol out in public to a ballgame (TICKETS MOST PAY GOOD MONEY FOR) and display their complete idiotism for the whole world to stomach. It’s not cute, funny, or cool and oftentimes I think of the families especially children that will more than likely have to endure many psychiatric difficulties in their lives because of it. To heavy for a sports site? Good!! I’ve never seen one positive thing come from King Alcohol. I’m embarrassed and sad that your precious niece had to be exposed to that!!!

I bet throughout the game (offshore account with odds that change as game progresses). With 5 minutes and change left, the odds on TN were +900 (9 to 1 odds). I was already all in, and had bet big when TN was +190, so I was lame and didn't pull the trigger on it. Derp.

TN football is back!

Just, one thing... for the love of Pete, I hope everyone doesn't go on the offseason crazy train - predicting a NC next year. We're still not up to snuff talent wise to beat GA much less win it all.

I’m sorry. Some on here think a little beer isn’t going to make them alcoholics which is true but why should a nine year old have to worry about that crap. Wish people like that would have someone puke on them.

I stayed to see the Stoerner fumble and then watch Jamal Lewis run it down Army's throats for 5 straight plays.

It's the first time I ever left Neyland chanting "We're #1" with around 104,000 close friends.

Are we talking about TWO games here? Because vs Arkie it was Travis Henry 5 Straight Runs down their throats.

I was in that video, left to watch it in the exit because I was surrounded by 4 IU fans behind me and 6 to my immediate right. I guess I should have stayed and whacked a couple d-ckheads with my cane.

For those who don't want to admit they left early you're free to steal my pic View attachment 251926
That's a sweet pic. It sure was a fun game and I'm sorry for those who left early. They sure did miss a historical comeback! Go Vols! Was so glad to see so many Vols faithful at the game and at all the festivities here in Jax that week. I loved driving through downtown and seeing all the establishments covered up with beautiful orange and white!

I was really disgusted early in the 4th quarter. If I would have been there I don’t know if I would have left or not. I do hate seeing the ends of games we lose.

Probably felt like those fans who left after the 4th down play failed against Arky with 2 mins to go in 1998...
I, sadly. was one of those who left and listened to the fumble recovery and us winning the game on the sidewalk. I admit it now, 20 yrs later. Learned my lesson that miracles can and do happen!

It never even crossed my mind to leave. I was too pissed after Tee threw it away on 4th down.

I've never left a game early. If I take the time and energy to go to a game, i stay to the end.

However, turning off the TV in disgust is par for the course.

The last 5 games my brother and I have been to, we have lost. We took my son to his first game and left w 9 minutes to go. We had to drive back to Savannah, early to work the next day. Pulled the game up on my phone. We were all disappointed but felt like had we stayed, they would have lost. Said this in an earlier post, “you’re welcome Vol Nation!” As soon as we left the stadium, our boys pulled off a miraculous comeback! It was the quickest drive back ever listening to the post game interviews/celebration! Just glad they pulled it off! It was a painful game to watch. We’ve watched the last 6 minutes, 3 times, still can’t believe we won it!! 👍🏻

This was when things looked hopeless and Tennessee was down 22-9.
Obviously this tweet didn’t age well.

Where are you going anyway? You’re on a vacation or bowl trip. I went to 1990 World Series in Cincy and people started leaving in 7th when Reds down 3. They scored 1 run an inning and won in 10. How many people say they were there when they were in their cars? You paid good money to see a sporting event and leave early when game is in doubt? I saw a Reds game once in Atlanta where Reds scored 10 in 9th to beat the Braves.

Wait...

So, you didn't actually make the trip to the game, but you want to try to call out fans who did spend the money and the time to do so, for leaving early?

Really?
