Fans' responsibility

Free tickets and I might go if there isn't anything else in this world to do.

Team is done. Season is done. Butch is done.

It's all over but the crying and another coaching search. Unfortunately it will be another year. Bet there are more GA fans than vols next week.

I don't know if Butch can, or should, survive this trial, but after being in Neyland tonight, I can say without a doubt..... Our fanbase is doing ZERO to help this team win. We make noise after kickoff returns, and when Lil Jon says to. Other than that, we sit on our hands and worry. It was truly shameful.

Bullsh!t !

Ridiculous. This fan base is still showing up after 8 years of irrelevance.

Its the fans responsibility to not show up, stop giving the program money if they continue to pay for this joke of a coach.

The only reason anybody has thrown out there as to why to keep him is we can't afford his buyout. Show the AD that by keeping Jones and Co. and not paying for a top notch coach they will lose more money than it cost to get rid of them.

We can complain and moan all we want on here, but ultimately money is what it all comes down to.

Truth is, the administration is the one not pulling their weight.

Schools that make winning a priority WIN. Winning is not a priority for our administration.

This fan base is incredibly loyal considering.

Which came first? Chicken or egg?

The fans were behind this team at the OK game and even stayed with them at the FL game. The team has to give the fans reason to cheer, and it just hasn't happened. (Hasn't happened in a long time.)

Ohio State wants to win. They get Urban Meyer.

Michigan wants to win, they get Harbaugh.

Everyone in the SECW wants to win and they all have great coaches.

I was at the game tonight. I can say as a die hard UT fan it's really disheartening to stand up and cheer when we look like crap and can't even move the ball. Add our defense giving up and well, there you go. At a certain point the fans realize no amount of screaming is going to help the team.

No blame, AT ALL. Just stating that the fans did not pull their weight tonight. I was as unhappy with coaching as anyone there.

The fans have cheered their a**es off for 5 games, there comes a point in time where the fans need results to keep up the momentum.

Fans have been incredible this season. UGA fans were booing their QB and began leaving with 11 min to go IN THE THIRD QUARTER. UT has some of the best damned fans in the country. Long suffering, loyal, vocal.....they deserve a damned sight better than what they've gotten over the last 8 years.

This post is hilarious. Do you honestly think fans can win a game? We can't make up for bad coaching. Put the blame where it belongs. You are dillusional.

Being a "fan" doesn't mean that you have to accept repeated kicks to the groin, which is what Tennessee football has done to us lately. I would put our fans, disappointed as they have been, against any fans in the country. Please, don't add insult to injury by saying our fans aren't doing their part.

This program does not deserve to put 100,000 butts in the seats. We about as loyal as Cubs fans at this point.

Not tollin at all. Just bothered me to see 2nd and 9 silent when we are down by 4, fans with faces in hands, then 3rd and 9, "let's pretend like we care" routine.

They've seen it play out before. The look on their faces is they almost expected it to happen again.

Why cheer when you know how this story plays out? We never make a big stop when we need to.

So let me get this straight. We've pissed away 14 point leads in three different games because the fans didn't yell enough? Are you huffing paint?
