please stand and cheer and don't complain if someone in front of you stand and cheer on Defense.

If we get down in the score, remember Gen Neyland's 3rd maxim

3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

keep cheering, I'm so tired of hearing how we are so quick to get quiet if things don't go our way.

joevol i can guarantee you the jack will be runnin through my vains and i will be yelling the ENTIRE game whether the old people around say anything or not. I wanna send these quacking ducks home with a taste of southern football and how it is playin in the sec

It's hard to fathom 100,000+ orange and white fans being quiet but there was only one time during the UTM game where there was real noise. Real noise is when the upper level is a stomping their feet and everyone is standing without drink and pretzel in hand and whistling and cheering and clapping and a hollerin'! And it's doesnt have to be 3rd down to do it either. Oh, and this just in: UT Fans are allowed to do it on all 4 downs, during TV timeouts, during kickoffs and anytime you are in the presence of the General's field.

Unfortunately only about 1000 tops that will be attending the game on Saturday will read any of the 10 threads about how
We need to be loud. I honestly think this falls on the shoulders of our players and coaches to preach every time they are in front of a mic or camera. I want neyland as loud as it has ever been but I don't think it will be unless this is stressed by DD and the players and put out in every media outlet availible that they "the team" consider us their 12th man and need our help as VOLS!

We will get the wave going again if it stars to get queit. That seemed to work last time.

I remember back in the day when it sounded like constant thunder when the fans got going...it was deafening (that was before they enclosed the whole upper deck)

neyland needs to be death valley,north. make them hate being here, after they spend their money.

I hope everyone is loud. it makes me cringe when i hear fans complaining about people threatening them if they don't sit down to cheer.

If the fans can't get pumped up and cheer for a night game against a top ranked team then nothing will get our fans pumped up.

I will be yelling loud as I can and try to give off an energetic vibe to my section, encouraging everyone to get into it as much as I can. Everyone needs to do the same for their section. If you're not there to do your part in helping the team win, and you're above yelling and making all the noise you can...don't buy tickets!!
