First of all...flame away, I don't give a s.it at this point! This fanbase (not all of course) is absolutely embarrassing! We have SO MANY talking head "know it alls" saying Butch is not the answer, he'll never bring us championships, etc. etc. it's absolutely sickening to hear this B.S. I don't consider myself a sunshine pumper so don't go there either! I'm very much a realist with a decent football IQ. I've read enough recent media comments recently that (if you read between the lines) state that Butch would probably be open to other coaching opportunities at this point. Well you know what...who the hell could blame him? He has worked tirelessly from the moment he stepped on this campus. He has made this program relevant again...first time in FOREVER..and what does he get in return??? Whinny a$$ fans who are out for blood because we didn't win the east! Well guess what??..that's FOOTBALL!!! Yes, we had a chance but it didn't happen. We had a season of injuries unlike no other! I'm sorry people but that MATTERS!!! No way we lose to T A.M. or S.C. if we were healthy PERIOD!!! No one wants to hear it because you're simply pissed that you can't walk around in your orange and pound your chest! GROW UP AND GET A CLUE! You think Georgia,LSU,AUB didn't have the same goals? The fact is that key injuries and/or one or two key plays can absolutely dictate the outcome of a game or in this conference a season! For those of you who can't wait for Butch to pack his bags...WHO YA GONNA GET??? WHO??? Do you think coaches are knocking the door down to come here or that we can afford to pay "any" coach that we want...SERIOUSLY??? The fact is many of you need to take a step back from your emotional temper tantrum and appreciate or at least tolerate the efforts of Jones. Does he push all the right buttons??...NO...tell me who does? But he has damn sure pushed enough right ones to get us relevant again! It just sickens me to see a fanbase that's so unappreciative. True "entitlement" at it's finest! If Butch does walk...I couldn't blame him if he never looked back!
Thanks for posting that. You are so right. These fans on this board are so idiotic. The injuries this team has had, especially on defense has been the difference in 8-3 and 10-1.
The Florida game is the best example of what this team would have been without the injuries. They beat that team 35-7 in the 2nd half. It took 7 turnovers and 2 overtimes for Texas A&M to beat this team.
All these complainers post like they are experts. You would think they have expert experience as DC's, OC's, Head Coaches, Athletic Directors, and prognosticators.
This defense lost 4 or 5 starters for multiple games, and 2 or 3 of the 2nd string for multiple games. Name any team in the World that would not have had a drop off!
Oh, and don't forget the loss of the BEST kick returner in the nation.
This offense is 2nd in the SEC in scoring! And now it may be the best offense in the SEC.
The South Carolina game was a disaster. Unfortunately, Dobbs played probably his worst game in his entire career at Tennessee. There is no other way to say it other than he was horrible. Who knows why? Maybe it was the Jalen Hurd situation. I do think the team was effected by his selfish, immature, actions.
You idiotic negative fans that post here, since you all seem to be experts at everything. Tell me what team would have been able to overcome this and performed at the same level. I know you are going to say Alabama. Even Alabama would have struggled with these kinds of injuries. Wouldn't you have loved to play Alabama without there starting DT's, two best LB's out, etc.
I just took the time to do this and came to the realization this will likely be a total waste of time. Because in today's world we are suppose to be given everything, have no hardships, and have instant success.
