Fanbase WAKE UP!!!

First of all...flame away, I don't give a s.it at this point! This fanbase (not all of course) is absolutely embarrassing! We have SO MANY talking head "know it alls" saying Butch is not the answer, he'll never bring us championships, etc. etc. it's absolutely sickening to hear this B.S. I don't consider myself a sunshine pumper so don't go there either! I'm very much a realist with a decent football IQ. I've read enough recent media comments recently that (if you read between the lines) state that Butch would probably be open to other coaching opportunities at this point. Well you know what...who the hell could blame him? He has worked tirelessly from the moment he stepped on this campus. He has made this program relevant again...first time in FOREVER..and what does he get in return??? Whinny a$$ fans who are out for blood because we didn't win the east! Well guess what??..that's FOOTBALL!!! Yes, we had a chance but it didn't happen. We had a season of injuries unlike no other! I'm sorry people but that MATTERS!!! No way we lose to T A.M. or S.C. if we were healthy PERIOD!!! No one wants to hear it because you're simply pissed that you can't walk around in your orange and pound your chest! GROW UP AND GET A CLUE! You think Georgia,LSU,AUB didn't have the same goals? The fact is that key injuries and/or one or two key plays can absolutely dictate the outcome of a game or in this conference a season! For those of you who can't wait for Butch to pack his bags...WHO YA GONNA GET??? WHO??? Do you think coaches are knocking the door down to come here or that we can afford to pay "any" coach that we want...SERIOUSLY??? The fact is many of you need to take a step back from your emotional temper tantrum and appreciate or at least tolerate the efforts of Jones. Does he push all the right buttons??...NO...tell me who does? But he has damn sure pushed enough right ones to get us relevant again! It just sickens me to see a fanbase that's so unappreciative. True "entitlement" at it's finest! If Butch does walk...I couldn't blame him if he never looked back!

I do agree, there's no way with a healthy Cam Sutton and Reeves Maybin, 2 guys who were considering going to the NFL Draft LAST YEAR, would we have lost to texas am or south carolina. There's just no way.

Not to mention they were also 2 of our permanent captains.

There's a whole lot more people injured for those 2 games, but those 2 guys alone cannot be overlooked.

Not sure which side of the extreme is worse at this point....the Nega's or the Sunshiner's. I feel like all of the election hate rolled over to VN.

His decision to kick at 58 yard field goal is a good example of his true lack of game day coaching. He had no time to think and had to make a gut decision and made a terrible one. Im glad we've improved, but don't see him getting us much farther.

Fanbase that signed a petition to get rid of a coach that got us to a sweet 16. All those same people who signed that petition are probably part of the faction of the fanbase that want Butch gone. Those same people will never be satisfied even if we go 11-1 next season, because we lost one game. My philosophy is either stick with your coaches and team or gtf out of here. I stick with coaches and players as long as they're giving their all and still performing well. This year was disappointing yes, but fire Butch if we go 10-3?? Wtf guys? Let me remind you guys 08-2013 5-7, 7-6, 6-7, 5-7, 5-7, 5-7 hmmm... 2014-2016 7-6, 9-4, and(if all goes accordingly)10-3 with about 15-20 starters or key subs injured. Y'all wanting to blow this all up and get back to .500 ball? I sure as hell don't.

I totally agree with the OP. I remember praying for a 6th win to go to any bowl. I guess with a few years of successful recruiting most people think we should be competing for the national championship. I am more of a realist and can see the continual improvement every year under this staff. Do I scratch my head sometimes YES, but I wish everyone could look at our relevance 4 years ago and with an open mind look at it now. Glass is a Helluva lot more full than empty for REALISTIC fans. GBO! Beat Candy!

Chart said to kick a field goal our kicker has never shown he can hit.

Butch should have walked last year and taken the Missouri job. A safe space with low standards. Seems like he would have fit in just fine.
