When you coach scared, you cause your team to play scared. And when you play scared, you don't succeed.

I don't know what Butch/DeBored are trying to prove on offense, but this isn't the Big Ten in the 90s where Michigan greatly out talented every team they played except OSU. You can't expect to just smash your way to victory.

Hell, DeBored turned Tom Brady into a 6th round pick for heavens sake. Get with the times.

I spend 6k a year in donations for my 4 seats so if I wanna b!tch about the product on the field you sure as hell aren't going to stop me. Most of you can sit back and complain that the fans are to hard on a man making 3 mil a year when your not financially invested. So IMO you need to have your damn jaw jacked for slamming people for being upset about a absolutely pitiful coaching effort.

6k is a lot, but you have the money to do it. Think of the people who saved for years just to pick a game to go to, only to spend 400+ on two tickets to get that second half offensive product. I meet a woman who was older and she said it was her first game ever. Said she never had the money to go. How you think she felt after the game? It's always awful to watch us lose, but there is always another home game for us season ticket holders.

You can accumulate all of the talent in the world, but if you do not trust them and allow them to play, you will never succeed. I just don't get what he thinks he will accomplish when he just shuts it down with very small leads. That just doesn't work in this modern era of college football where points are easier to score by the opposition.

Saying the coaches weren't great is like saying Obama made a decent deal with Iran. The offensive coaching was truly offensive. Our players really played great and kept us in the game in spite of the unbelievably bad coaching. I really thought this crap was over after we got rid of Dooley, and I hope this teaches Coach Jones a lesson (Florida should have taught the lesson). With the high-powered offenses today, we simply cannot play not to lose. This ultra-conservative play-calling will cause us to lose almost every tiem when the teams are evenly matched.

I agree. My UT donations are done in November - to the college and athletics. By then, I should be much more calm. Right now, all to the college.

I'm not turning in mine. I'm not going to accept failure either when it's as blatantly obvious as last night. Jones lost to an inferior team. He deserves to hear about it....

Seriously though... I've never seen a bunch of babies crying about games in my life. We have already gotten rid of two coaches who should have never been hired in the first place and now because Butch comes in to a mess of a team and he uses coach speak instead of being honest and telling us things are going to tough; you're ready to have his head too. What happened when he was giving more access to the media and fans? He had to deal with idiots reporting false injuries and incidents within the team. He's been here for 3 years and really only two of his classes have been "his classes" so we still have to get as much put of these kids as possible. I don't know why people are always complaining about how he uses slogans and mantras because he's not going to stop. He's always going to give vague answers, so if you don't like it don't watch his pressers. Do you see any coaches going out without any bs answers for the media? I sure as hell don't, so stop with all the whining about this and crying about that. Let the guy show us what he can do because we are obviously still growing as a team. We are going to get wins that will show people we are real contenders. Our off season was tough with suspensions and injuries that we still have some rust that needs to cone off. Let's go out and destroy WC next week to show people we have that killer instinct. GO VOLS!!!

We had people posting this exact same post, when Dooley was here and towards the end of his tenure. There is absolutely nothing different about Butch and Dooley on the field, to this point in their UT HC career's. Butch wins a ton more off the field, but you are judged with what you do on it. That's what fans are frustrated with, the results.

Jones is soft on game day. That's been proven year after year.

More excuses and processes coming after Florida curb stomps UT in Gainesville.

You'll say that their athletes were just too much for UT's youth..

Anyone can talk about what's going to happen. We actually talk about proof. Results. Real things on the field.

So feel free to talk more. You got about 2 weeks to convince yourself that Jones won't fold, as always.
