Fan negativity

When it leaks that QB1 and Fam have a meeting and want answers to the same questions everyone else has about the WR and OL, hard not to expect fans to take that and run with it.

Especially when one of the entire underperforming position groups in question enters the portal.

And after quasi-media outlets publish charts that show our NIL being outspent by not only the other competitors in the sec, but also the likes of Indiana and Virginia.

And after somebody posts other insider info casting Spyre in a negative light.

It’s hard not to question these things, and fans of any program in the country that give two $&¡7s would do the same.

I'd guess players get more vibe of a program's fandom from going to a second-to-none frenzied UT home game experience vs UF, Bama, UGA, etc...or seeing Vol fans literally turn OSU from 100% scarlet into a beautiful mixture of scarlet and orange on gameday, vs reading some whiny garbage about Vol fans negativity or message boards, that probably almost zero recruits go on.

BTW, you think the same or worse negativity doesn't exist on Bama, LSU, TaM, UF, Auburn boards after their season's futile results that ended in a meaningless bowl game????

I would imagine the possibility of those NIL numbers being correct are slim to none. Think of how difficult of a task that would be

Not saying I believe it all. Some things make you think where there is smoke there is fire though.

If not true, stuff like that shouldn’t be banned but local media and the program itself could do a lot more to dispel rumors.

I feel like Spyre has always needed something more in the way of an official endorsement from the program. QR codes on the walls on Neyland saying help with NIL, etc. You can’t blame casual fan for being leery without some more official promotion.

Are the schools allowed to promote the NIL since they are not supposed to be involved? I can see people being skeptical of Sprye, since there really isn't a ton of information out there about what they actually do and operate.

No. Only a small subset with unreasonable expectations, a greatly exagerated sense of their own importance, and a sociopathic lack of regard for the program itself, and their pathetic need to feel self esteem through a team because they are losers in real life.

Its a minority, but they are very vocal, as the article points out.

Should a small set of a whiny ass sugar titty crybabies ruin it for the rest of us? I say not.

Exactly.

There seems to be a contingent who seems the only proper thing to do is throw money at the program and not say a word.

I have said it before on here and I will say it again-when you start cashing a check then the game changes.

When players were ostensibly "amateurs" getting only tuition, room, and board (yeah right) then of course I am gonna give them every respect and amount of leeway possible.

Players can't have their cake and eat it also.

Look how perfect of a fan you are. Wish we could all be like you. Supppse we would have the number 1 class every year. You and whatever that link goes to are full of ****. Our fans are no different than any other fan base. Lots of heat from bama and OSU fans this season. I suppose with your hypothesis their recruiting classes will take a big tumble? I’d bet not.

The only negative thing I heard all year about vol fans was how they took over the horseshoe in Columbus Ohio. 30,000 to 40,000. 🤣

Recruiting Forum regular and known insider @KingVFL is on record stating that the Spyre BS started by S.Sparks and spread by others on this very board is already being used against us by other teams. So, yes, things like that do matter.

Be part of the problem or be a part of the solution.

That A to Z article was probably written by AI bots. A to Z is nothing but a click bait website. There are no UT fans that will ever be as bad as Bama fans or Gator fans or Georgia fans. They all have crazy minority fans that ****ing poison trees.

Tennessee can't recruit talent because of some noisy fans lol OMG you telling me that Bama fans dont threaten their coach on social media and argue with players on Instagram or Twitter. Please tell me who is buying that argument because I have some Hawk Tua bit coin to sell you.
