How many years does Butch need to start winning? Does he need 22 five star guys to beat Florida? Will TN ever stop being a young team, seems like I've heard this for six straight years.

Is he blind or do you not know what you are looking at? Jury is still out.

Nah ive seen enough. Hasnt taken long for Mcelwain to win big games at Florida. Butch is in year 3 and we are mediocre. We have a lot of talent with mediocre coaching.

We need a team of 24 year old 6th year offensive and defensive linemen in order to be competitive apparently.

Well, if you look at it that way, then we are more talented than Ole Miss because we only lost by 1.

It's just not true

No, to flat out say we are more talented than UF is just ignorant.

It is a close call. If you don't understand the talent they have on D then you dont watch much college football.

Their D had nothing to do with us being up 13 and unable to close it out.

I would have to say we've certainly gotten on ESPN a lot more. But not for good reasons. Mostly Not Top 10 kind of antics. But they say all press is good press right?

Who said it did?

I am stating that the talent comparison is pretty close.

UF has and has had great talent on D for many years. This idea that we were head and shoulders above them in talent was absurd.

You dont dismantle that Ole Miss team if you dont have talent.

Sorry if this gets in the way of some of yall's whining. Please proceed.

The man is about to be 14-18 in his first 32 games at UT and some fans are talking about "we're relevant again!"

Unbelievable.

Dude, we are losing by a less amount of points than we used to lose by! Also, we keep getting on Sportscenter and our games get replayed during the week because of these miraculous comebacks people keep having against us. We are totally relevant. Butch Jones is even a national running punchline. Derek Dooley never got made fun of on this level. We are relevant! Progress.

They have the talent edge overall...but they have a big talent edge when you compare OL...that is still a huge weakness for us...

Jones has the players making better grades and he's teaching them culture and Feng shui.

Indiana has better athletes than Ohio State?
Purdue has better athletes than Michigan State?
Arizona State > UCLA? BYU > Oregon? Star ratings given to HS players don't mean squat to me. And that's just me. It's good from a stand-point of going after those that have the skill/ability/potential to really be a great player. Saves on the recruiting budget to target those type of players. But c'mon....realistically, a FR OL that stands 6'4", 325 and runs a 5.4 flat with 0 starts isn't that far behind a SR/RSR with 0 starts and same physical stats. But if they are coached UP, not down, than that is where the gap widens. I don't see it with TN right now.
