Volnation is poison....absolute poison. We have so many ignorant fans on this site...it's simply sickening. So many of you refuse to truly understand how far this program had fallen before Butch got here. I mean "YOU TRUELY DON'T GET IT!!". By the time Dooley got shown the door, our program was not relevant on ANY level. Butch has started basically at ground zero...and so many of you are too ignorant to realize it. You should be embarrassed. We are finally able to compete with top tier teams...but that's not good enough because you want/EXPECT immediate return to prominence. People...wake up! Have we lost a few winnable games? Sure! Has Butch made some questionable in game decisions?...Sure? He's not always going to push all the right buttons...NO COACH DOES! But I'm telling you now...he has made this program relevant again and so many of you can't even see it. You're CLUELESS and it's people like you that seem to make the most noise. You're clueless as to what it takes to compete in this league. Too many of you jumped on the hype train after we thumped a very average Iowa team in the bowl game. You hung on to every positive word the "media" made about us. They too have put unrealistic expectations on this program considering how far we had fallen. You bought the hype because you are absolutely starving for our return to prominence. We have a coach that has given everything he has to this program day in and day out, and this is how you show your support? Bashing and slandering him with every breath. Please don't call yourself a fan.

Relevant, as in, like Kentucky and Vandy?

Real fans want to see their team win, not settle for less than mediocre. Settling is for for non-competitors, aka losers.

Butch is as competitive as Dooley was, so there's that.

(Why am I even replying to this stupid ****?)

Yea, most don't even understand that Butch took a less talented team into the swamp and lost by a point to a more talented gator team...

Performance matters in every job... Being average based on your record gets your fired in most jobs

I bet Florida fans are happy McElwain didn't choose to play the "how far things had fallen under Muschamp" card. Instead, he just went out and started winning.

The man is about to be 14-18 in his first 32 games at UT and some fans are talking about "we're relevant again!"

Unbelievable.

The biggest complaint I have seen that everyone on here is trying to make is that we are a 2-3 football team and freaking Sylvester Croom could be 2-3 with this football team for a lot less money.

We lost to an absolute garbage Arkansas team. If you want to be proud that we were competitive in that game then knock yourself out.

Yes it was a 1 point loss. Thats not the point. Its how we lost. Its easy to look at the box score and and say, "hey, close game either team coukd have won." That game was awful. It was sickening to watch.

This post can't be real

Just compare the roster...Florida had better players on the 2 deep than we do...their average star rating was about 3.9...ours about 3.4...

Maybe next year when Butch's kids takeover the roster our average start ranking will be higher....

Are you blind? Its not just bc we lose. Its how. We outplay the opposing team, and have double digit leads just to end up blowing the game. Did it against UF last year except it was 9 points last year, UF this year and Oklahoma. We were up 14 on Arky but at least that meltdown happened before the fourth. ITS NOT A COINCIDENCE, you sunshine pumpers can hold your blind faith all you want but I choose reality over blind faith. Butch is not the answer and his assistants with the exception of Elder and Thigpen are busch league

Daj's chart said we are 10-2 by a talent standpoint, with losses to FL and Bama. So Yeah, FL is - technically - the more talented team.

And I'm not sure about the OU Arky Losses. I will continue my current strategy of mentally blocking them out.

This is actually what you hang your hopes on?
Not how our current five stars are being underdeveloped?

You talk like it was so gone that they had to break ground to build a field up there. Wasn't that bad.
Also- If the school knows it will be a while then why are the tickets for this weekend cost $80 each?

Is he blind or do you not know what you are looking at? Jury is still out.

We did run some trick plays to get up...a cool pass back to Dobbs to get us into the end zone the first time and a nifty 4th down call to keep a drive alive...but the Gators D owned the line of scrimmage...Hurd had some good runs but they are very good D (ask Ole Miss)...

I was very disappointed in the secondary's inability to cover and tackle but we don't really have any stars back there...they are hard working but mostly just average players...

I was hoping we could hold on and pull the upset but it didn't work out that way...
