There has been an evident paradigm shift in hiring coaches. Coaches don’t go for the “top job”. See Kelly choosing UCLA over UF. They want job security and the easiest path to success.

Regardless of your opinion on Schiano we as a fan base have screwed our team. Let’s say Schiano backs out. What coach in their right mind will come here seeing what just happened when Vol fans get angry and go Hulk mode.

It’s over guys.

No, Currie did this.

I would rather UT never win another game, than welcome a man with that stench on him into our house. There are thing more important than winning games. Fire Currie for inept handling of this situation. Hire an actual competent AD, and the team and coaching search will be fine

I think it’s pretty obvious we were down to our tier 3 coaching candidates. The only difference is Currie didn’t publicize it like Hart so fans weren’t aware of the coaches who said “no thanks”

Any good coach who doesn't have ties to hiding knowledge of pedophile coaches need not worry about UT fans.

Politicians wouldn't be protesting a hire of some random guy, the Grudenites (myself included) would be a little bummed but would quickly recover, fans would be annoyed if we hire some lame "up and coming" coach, but not like this.

This is different, your post is wrong, you have no right blaming the fans of UT about their upset of Schiano. We are a dedicated, nation-wide fanbase who wants to win but we aren't a**holes to every coach.

first try Mike Norville and at the same time call Jimmy Sexton about Lane Kiffin.

One of those two guys will be here ready to go!

Just do it!

It ain't over. It's far from over!

We as citizens of TN, students / alumni of TN, consumers of the product put on the field, should have a say in whom we want as a coach.

I am proud of Volnation today. Sometimes wins are not as important as we think they are. Great job Volnation!!!

I appreciate your thoughts in thinking our hearts are pure but I am afraid you overestimated us. I really think our objections rise from the notion that he is not a good enough football coach to take us where we aspire to be. The fact that he has excess baggage worked for all of us.
