Famous Tennessee Fans

Looking over the twitters I was surprised to see the actress Julie Ann Emery talking up the Vols. I recognized her from "Better Call Saul"

If you look through her timeline she talks about UT a lot.

I think she grew up in TN.

Sterling Marlin is a HUGE Vols fan
Thought I also heard somewhere that Billy Bob Thorton was a huge UT fan, I know he's a big Manning fan

I know BBT.

He is a Texas fan. My buddy who is owner of skydive films and has worked with BBT on many projects, is an Arkansas fan. They have some trash talk back and forth.

The guy from Northern Exposure that played Hollis was in the alumni newsletter this month. He graduated from UT back in the 50's.

The late Patricia Neal and Dixie Carter were UT graduates.

Yes born in crossville in 75. Beautiful lady

Grace Slick/Paul Katner/Marty Palin.....they wrote a song about it.
Well then... Freddie Mercury and Queen. Their song "39" is clearly about our 1939 regular season un-scored upon team. "In the year of 39 assembled here the Volunteers..."

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I wanted to give ZZ13 major props for giving me another reason to love this really underrated Queen song! I never even though about the odd coincidence. Dr. Brian May must find out about this!
