This wasn't at Neyland Stadium; but, I met Crompton at the Nike Outlet Store in Sevierville this past Saturday. He was shopping w/his momma. He's ALOT skinnier than I figured he would be.

We might be able to replicate a lot of what USC is currently doing, but by the names mentioned in this thread I don't think garnering celebrity attendance will be one of them

The funniest celebrity encounter at Neyland I've ever heard of occurred in the mid '80s. A guy I know pulled up to a media parking lot claiming that they needed to let him park his RV there because they had Keith Jackson on board and he was doing the play by play that day. I doubt he was going to get away with it . . . but any chance of success was destroyed a few seconds later when a car pulled in behind him with Keith Jackson sitting in the passenger seat.

At the UGA game a couple of years ago, I was at a concession stand at halftime wondering who was doing the weird Deanna Carter impersonation. Then I realized it was Deanna Carter singing over that horrible PA system.

My brother in law and I saw Sterling Marlin at the Kentucky game a couple of years ago. Marlin walks by and my brother in law, who doesn't like him, says "hey Sterling, you might want to put your hand on the top of your head with the wind blowing hard it might blow that hideous rug off." Needless to say Marlin wasn't too happy with his comments.

Haven't seen any famous people at Neyland, but I did sit 3-4 seats away from Tommy Lasorda at Thompson one night. He was there to see Rollie Massamino and Villanova play in opening round of NCAA tourney.
