What day does practice start in August for fall camp? What do you guys think is the main focuses and goals for the team, say the first week or two into it?

Yes! A thread about X's and O's! I don't know when practice starts, but I can't wait to get the team on the grass.

Id say a couple of the main goals will be installing the rest of the offense and defense, and finding the freshman that can contribute right away.

There should be three goals the coaching staff has...

1) Get the o-line going.

2) Find your QB.

3) Figure out what your goal on defense is going to be.

Starts Aug 4, I think. Seems odd to me that my son's middle school team is in pads earlier, on Monday, the 2nd...ok, ok, I'm just ready for it to get started.

I think everybody gets a little stir crazy without football. July is a terrible month for sports. First, I think that they will be focused fundamentals and preparing both d and o lines. Also a lot of time will be spent identifying the freshman talent that can contribute quickly.

July has the only day of the year in which there are 0 professional American sports played...

Anyone know what day that is?

Will we get daily video updates and highlights like last year or will CDD keep things under wraps?

I know we are all pumped, but don't you want Dooley to "keep it quite"? Less focus on being on TV and exposing the kids to what the media is saying? Or, buckle down and get to business?

I would rather see the product on opening day have a great showing. I hate hearing how great of a fall camp they have and how tough the two a days are and they show up 1st game looking like they have never played, ever.

Keep it quite what?

I am looking forward to camp starting and everything that comes with it. Except the injury reports, we can do without those.

Inevitable. Always have injuries and we need to know about them.

It will be great to have some real football action of any kind! I'm looking forward to how the team develops.

haha noooo...... Dooley put up privacy fences and only allows certain cameras in at certain times. unlike like that idiot kiffen he doesn't advertise our practices.

Yeah, my son's middle school team started last Thursday and has their first pads practice tonite. Their first game is Aug 12.

I'm ready for some football!
