Game changer, but we hung in there. Sims just has to throw better. We gave up another 6 to that, I love Dooley, he has passion he loves this school I def have more respect for him

That, and throwing a pick in the end zone. And Poole fumbling on the last drive after a great gain. We still had a chance at that point.

Is it just me, or does Simms' grip make it seem like his hands are too small?

Fake punt was a gusty but good call by Florida, I wouldn't have called it but they caught us off gaurd. I think we are heading in the right direction, grew as a team, good effort today and improvement by Simms as an SEC quarterback. Every loss hurts, but, if we grew as much as I think we did today, the remainder of the season could be better than I thought at the end of the day last week.

Huge momentum shift. Regardless, I was proud of UT today. Played well, just need to limit the TO's. THOSE killed us.

To win games we need a great QB. Simms is not yet a great QB. Maybe he will get there. If not I am sure Dooley will find the great QB we need to get 'er done.

Def killed our Moe. But so does 2 ints and a fumble. We cant expect to beat a better team by turning the ball over.

ever good play we made, we made a bad play that killed us.

we score, to get back within 7. our great kicker kicks it out of bounds.

we hold them, they fake punt.

interceptions.

penalties.

we are still young and not deep.

All the little things that happened today could be overcome by the VOLs....but not the damage done by the QB.

Gotta give Simms some credit....he handles the huddle well.

It might have caught us off guard but #40 had the up back caught for the loss to get the Vols the ball back and wiffed on a piss poor attempt of a tackle.

should have been an illegal procedure call on the play as well...
as the ball was being snapped the 2nd up back was moving to try and point out protection.

o well...

Fake punt definately hurt, but we came back from it and put up a fight. The 3 turnovers and penalties really killed us.

Don't forget about our secondary, they couldn't defend a pass if their lives depended on it! I don't think they stopped one pass all game! The only incompletions Fla had were when they threw a bad pass. I know some of the bad passes were due to good coverage but dang we couldn't stop them on 3rd down!

That was the most frustrating part. But when the QB has time to eat a sandwich and then throw the ball, well, what can we expect. All game long I was yelling to get pressure on him...but nobody listened. And I was yelling loud.

Sloppy play killed us. You will never beat Florida with that many penalties, turnovers, and bad special teams play (must be a TN tradition). I'm not talking about talent or depth. I'm talking about sound fundamental football. The bright side is that the defense has played very well the last 3 games. Their biggest problem is that they have been put in a terrible position time and time again.

I agree with this. We needed to dial up more blitzes. Rushing only the four down linemen on third downs all day are why the Gators converted so many. We were so scared of the big play we forgot to gameplan for a specific QB in a specific stadium. I firmly believe had we dialed up the pressure on clear passing downs, we rattleBrantley, and Florida doesn't score 31.

I think the pick in the endzone was a bigger moe killer. The fake punt was kind of the icing on the cake, imo.
