Slightly off topic, but I'm wondering if anyone else holds to this tradition. IMHO:
Christmas does not start the day after Thanksgiving. Christmas starts Christmas day and goes for 12 days until Epiphany. I like to put my tree up, Christmas Eve at the earliest and leave it up until Epiphany. The problem is, you can't hardly find a live tree a day or two before Christmas day- most of the lots have shut down.
Also, if you insist on putting a plastic manger scene in your front yard the day after Thanksgiving, please don't put Jesus in the manger until Christmas day, or at least Christmas Eve. It's OK to have the wise men and angels waiting on him, but He doesn't get here until Christmas.
I know this is not that important but I feel better getting it off my chest. Excuse the rant.
i like to enjoy my christmas tree three months out of the year. it goes up around halloween and then we take it down about the end of january. get good use out of it.

I bought a fake tree this year and my dog is going to be pissed that he won't get the tree after christmas this year.I've been giving him the tree every year because he has no trees in his pen.I guess I will make a trip to Homedepot after christmas and get him a couple.
JK, no they give her migraines for some reason, I've talked to other people who suffer the same way. My mom used to be that way with certain trees. I guess I'm doomed to fake ones.
