Went to the Orange County fair this past weekend and didn't eat a lot but I did have something interesting, a baby Ruth stuffed jalapeño that was served on a bed of churros.

It was actually really good. Looked gross as it looked like poo in a jalapeño but it was tasty.

Anybody else enjoy and fair food this summer ?

The oc fair isn't too big, but it's fun to go once a year and people watch.

Not this summer but at the fair ive had a bacon cheeseburger on donuts for buns. It was pretty good, but really messy. Also had a fried Reece's Cup....so good.

I've always wanted to try a deep fried oreo

Didn't live up to the hype. The cookie gets kinda soggy. Ive had fried Snickers, Reece's, Oreo, Kool-Aid, and Twinkie. The Snickers was good but the Reece's was on a whole nother level.

I worked the Memphis fair for Sysco foods out of college. You guys don't want to be eating food at the fair. And I loved it at the time. Turkey legs. Funnel Cakes. Corn dogs.
Then I worked it by delivering food to them morning, noon and night in a golf cart after loading off trucks.
Take your own snacks please.

Fried Kool-aid? How does that work?

Because fair people are nasty and crazy and its a bad mix among heat, sweat, and food. Add liquor, pills and meth and up the ante.

Nothing quite so reassuring as the track marks you see in that carney's arms as he locks you into your seat on the high speed spinning ride that he and some other guy put together with a monkey wrench.

Carnies out here only out together rides. The food people are mostly local high school and college kids looking for summer jobs
