Yeah, I'm going to have to go with the BigWheel on that one....
that's a fine choice. but as i can't help the generation i grew up in, nothing beat Star Wars stuff...the action figures and toy ships etc...awesome. GI Joe would run a very close second.

The slap bracelets were popular when I was younger too. I never really got into the idea of a piece of plastic that you slapped on your arm and it wrapped around it.

Alright O+W=H, you're old enough to remember Clackers - two acrylic balls (about the size of a golfball), each on the end of a string. The two strings were about 6 inches long and connected.

The object was to hold the strings where they came together and move your hand up and down so the two balls collided with each other below and above your hand.

Probably responsible for more injuries than any other toy with the possible exception of Jarts (lawn darts).

Injuries resulted from hitting yourself in the hand, arm, face, etc.; from using Clackers like a bola; and from the balls shattering!

Ah, the good old days...

pinch rolled, white wash jeans, antying neon, Sebago shoes.....and big, big hair for the ladies.

I can remember saving my money up for a pair of Sebago's. In the north they wore Eastlands (like sebagos)
I thought I was cool in my Members Only jacket.
The sailor shirts were popular, I'll never forgot when this girl wore a mini-skirt to school it was such a big deal now everyone wears em.
Ada-beads were big in jewelry.

Man, do I ever remember those things. Everyone had them. And the schools were going berserk trying to keep them off campus. Dentists loved them though, more kids busted out teeth with those things than sports ever caused...

I was actually thinking of those yesterday, but couldn't remember what they were called...
