I'm hearing Hamilton may end up paying for this no matter who he hires. It seems some of the character issues were known before Kiffin and O were put in place....and the red flags were ignored.

In the interest of disclosure, I was a Kiffin fan, and these revelations have come to me in the last 48 hours.

GREAT! Another challenging day at work....I wish all this chit would be cleared up, in this order:

1. Name a Home Run Head Coach and Staff.
2. Shore up the recruiting hemmoraging.
3. Sit back and enjoy the Bath the Kiffins will be taking in the press.
4. Watch UT return to Football greatness
5. Relish USC get waxed by UCLA, Oregon, Oregon State and Cal every year (hopefully)!

Perhaps those reporting it here did not see it, like me, but have contacts who were in the position to be informed about it. These stories have legs and when rime permits, after a suitable hire....things may come out.

You said this a couple of pages back. I am not trying to call you out, but can you clarify what you mean? Did you see it directly, which doesn't fit if you found out 48 hours ago. Now if you saw pictures, videos, emails, or whatever, then that could work.

In defense of Mike Hamilton, he insisted that Kiffin's contract contain a "Personal Responsibility" clause, and this was a big reason that the contract wasn't formally executed until well into the season. When word of Kiffin's reckless and irresponsible off-the-field behavior started trickling down, Jimmy Sexton himself conducted a quiet investigation locally and told him to tone it down.

What are you snorting or smoking? Creativity has to be associated with believability if you are going to be a novel writer.

As I said in my initial post, feel free to take what I've said with a grain of salt if you wish. I'm not offended. I would do the same if I hadn't come about this information both first- and second-hand. And as such, I refuse to comment on the other rumors floating around out there (illicit drug use, affairs, etc.), because I do not PERSONALLY know them to be true. Take that FWIW...

Great summation of the entire sordid mess. I, too, was on the bandwagon, and as a longtime season ticket holder I wanted to see the Vols back on top; I cheered the hire along also. Guess I'll never get used to being this naive about character. Man, I even agree with Al Davis! Is THAT sick.

Nope....I saw none of it. I have. Lived in Murfreesboro the last 5 years. I do however have a very good friend/ business associate from my years in Knoxville who is a letterman and maintains a very close relationship with the athletic dept. His information is always very good.

I have no ego to stroke here, or postcount to pad. I hear a lot of thing I never post because I see how people can get crucified because of their source. But this info is different because it can effect so many reputations. Make no mistake, this stuff is starting to come out.

My friends Dad saw and spoke to Monte yesterday afternoon at "THE PILOT", yes THE pilot. I couldn't believe it either. He has a set, ill give him that.
