So I've googled key words like Kiffin and DUI and wreck and what not. Hardcore detective work, I know. I've read about this Lexus he supposedly had. Several of these reports are out there and they differ on the details of exactly what happened, but most have one thing in common: the white Lexus. Anybody got any details?

I've been thinking something similar the whole time. She had made a comment at some point about how Tennessee folk lacked the level of sophistication to which she is accustomed. If you notice in both of Lane's pressers, he mentions how much family played a role in his decision. He specifically said in LA that his wife "loves it here."

Agreed. If nothing pans out on this stuff he should be banned for life from this site. However, and I'm just throwing this out there, somebody else said something similar on the "Dear, Lane" facebook page much earlier than this report.

I believe Mote would have tried to get him to stay, simply from the standpoint that leavig after a year is wrong

I still think Monte's a great coach and would have tried to do what's right

However if Layla was pressuring CLK, then as the old saying goes

If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy

knoxville's not big enough to keep multiple DUI's for CEO out of the press

i mean look at them now, and coach's name that surfaces, 10 minutes later there reporting he 's the next head coach

so they would be all over CEO if there were any issues

From a source close to the case. She never gave her kid the middle name "Knox", The name actually is "Cal".

Additionally, I have it on very good authority that Vinson's departure had much more to do with Yaw-yaws indiscretions than his own.

Layla had rather shop on Rodeo Drive than she had the Tanger Outlets in Sevierville. Pretty simple really. Monte is old, the cold winters of East TN was making his arthritis act up. Lane is more of a Hip-Hop punk thug than a country boy. You guys will be better in the future without that bunch in Knoxville.

I had heard the layla hating knoxville rumors as early as september. I wrote them off.

I believe there is an oci incident in there as well.

I also hear there was a heckuva party post uga. White lexus anyone?

And don't discount what you can hide from the media. UT has been doing it for years.

We sound like the sour grape chorus.

Kiffin is a POS. Orgeron is worse. There were issues here, but who gives a crap. The guy screwed us with a chainsaw. He'll get his in the end. Let's go forward - at least until we see the news stories with BPV bring locked up for mauling the punk.

Well think about going from LA or Oakland to Knoxville? That had to be a culture shock to him and her. No excuse on what they did. They were from the west coast and i told a lot of people after he was hired that he'd jump at the first west coast job that opened. It was obvious from the beginning he didn't like it here and i bet she didn't either. I compare Lane to a recruiting class, looks good on paper ,but you don't know what you're really getting. Sadly we found out.

If there is any truth to these rumors, sounds like Kiffin might have a Tiger Woods type firestorm out there. He is back in TMZs back yard.

Kiffin was not a good fit for UT and was a terrible hire. UT football is bigger and better than that punk and UT will be far better off without him (and CEO). I know the timing of his departure was terrible, but it's better for UT that he's gone now, before inflicting further damage. Hopefully, Hamilton learned a lesson and will make good character and mature judgement key qualification requirements in hiring his replacement. Best of luck in the coaching search.
