Coolest vol ive ever met was josh briscoe. I met him the same day as i met arian foster and ainge at a tailgate. Josh was just really down to earth and cool, played cornhole with him and just tried to avoid the frenzy surrounding foster lol this was at the orange and white game two years ago where foster went to the dj booth btw. I also got to meet todd kelly sr once shortly after jr committed and he was super nice as well. Foster was as weird in person as you would imagine, nice, but just a little off.

Grew up with Wilhoit. James is a nice guy. Spoiled and coddled like you wouldn't believe but that's really on his parents. He was shy and nerdy in school but he finally came out of his shell.

I am a Western North Carolina Native and grew up about 20 minutes from Asheville. I remember going to watch Leonard Little play football in High School on Friday nights with his family.Leonard's cousin Anthony used to go fishing with us all the time. I know LL and we still talk time to time mostly a shout here and there on Twitter.

Also know Mickey Marvin and first met him when I was around 17 or 18 years old working in a butcher's shop (m&m freezer). My wife is a veterinarian and she has Heath Shuler come in all the time so we get to talk to him whenever he's around.

As for anybody else I've met #Team118 twice once for the orange & white game and the 2nd time when they let me and The Crippin family bring 10 year old Wyatt to Knoxville for practice.

He wasn't a Vol at the time, but my sister tutored Chad Clifton in math as a freshman.... he was a senior at the time. Also, my mom was friends with his dad, they worked together for nearly 20 years. Went to school with Justin Harrell. Great kid, and it was fun to watch him play TE in high school.

edit: (forgot to add) my dad had a student teacher come teach his class in high school, little did he know she would become the greatest women's bball coach of all time

I played football at Morristown West with James "little man" Stewart.

I played baseball, basketball and ran track with Little Man also. Hard to believe, but he could have probably played pro baseball or basketball had he chose to pursue those sports. I am a 1990 Morristown West grad.

First week of my freshman year we were playing basketball in the old Stokely arena and some football players joined in. Turns out is was Craig Faulkner and Heath Shuler. It was Shuler's first semester too and Faulkner was a soph, I believe. Both were athletic freaks! Shuler threw an inbounds pass the entire length of the court and the ball never had an arc to it.

My mom used to teach in North Knox county and one day Peyton popped his head in out of the blue and asked if he could read a book to her class! Guy was pure class back then too!

Phillip Crosby lives in Charlotte and he and my husband have become friends. They talk on the phone or text on a pretty regular basis. Crosby really likes Butch and said he has our program headed in the right direction. GO VOLS!

Your member name caught my attention. I graduated from the same high school, many years later, as Bobby Scott. His grandfather worked at the high school at that time.

Also, I was getting my hair cut a few years ago and the young lady cutting it started up a conversation about the vols because of the UT shirt I happened to be wearing. She asked if I had ever heard of "Scott to Trott" and I said no. Best I can recall, she said Stan Trott was her dad and that he played with Bobby Scott at UT and that " Scott to Trott" was very popular during their time at UT.

I hadn't thought about that conversation in quite sometime until I saw your member name.

Yep, that's where it came from. I was born around the time of the great Bobby Scott's days at UT. My parents are Vol fanatics and I used to hear mom say scott-to-trot all the time, so thought it would be a cool name at least for the older crowd.
of course now I realize I've mis-spelled Trott...

My younger brother wrestled on the Kingsport Boys Club wrestling team with Daniel Hood when they were around the ages of like 6 to 10 or 11 years old. I also helped coach Daniel on a private wrestling team that his dad and my dad started. Daniel broke lil bros arm when they were about 8. He was always a very big and strong kid for his age.

Lived in Gibbs - knew most of the football players at that time - tee peed rooms, shot fire extinguishers under the doors, filled massive garbage cans with water and then propped them against doors, got kicked out of Gibbs twice, watched as the golfers drove 3 irons down the hall and out the window, and observed people ducked taped to trees naked out front. Good times.

Played a lot of spades.

I'm originally from Milan, so I've interacted with George Kidd, Earnest Fields, and John Fisher who were all on the team together at the same time. I played ball with George's younger brother in high school and I've meet with and spoken to John on several occasions when back home.

Met Chad Clifton once and played against Jabari Greer in HS.

An interesting side note that's off topic: Avery Williams, plays for the Titans, is from Milan, but played college at Kentucky. One of my best friends coached in Milan and would help him train during off seasons.

Cordarrelle Patterson lived on my floor of the Sterchi Lofts when I lived there in 2012. Not on my actual floor (he lived on some girls' couch), but on the same level of the building.

He may or may not have burned a hole in my sectional while passing me the...lettuce. We hung out several times a month and the WR's coach actually gave me tickets to the Ga State (I think) game. CP was a super nice guy. Wish I would have kept in touch. I'm sure those girls that let him live with them get some kicka$$ Christmas gifts lol.

If he had been suspended and you told this story.... I would have gone full Liam Neeson on you.

Worked at the Last Lap/Library back in the 90's, alot of the football team spent time there as did alot of college students. Some notables were Peyton (never saw the man drink alcohol, just water), Little Man Stewart (one of the nicest guys on the planet, a true class act) and a DL named Shane Burton that was drafted by the Dolphins. Nobody wanted to mess with that guy, luckily, he was never any trouble at the bar.

The biggest partiers back then of all the jocks was the men's cross country team, they drank like fishes and still got up for their early morning runs. Ahhhh....the good old days.

Man I miss that place....and those times

I have Tennessee's backup long snapper on facebook. I said "Go Vols!" He immediately responded "Who the f*** are you?" And deleted me. Was a special moment in my life.

I grew up in Murfreesboro, and played on a Jr pro team with Antron Peebles and Alvin Duke (Vandy). They were both on the 1993 Riverdale TN State Champions hip team. Still talk to Tron on FB. In 2002 I had the honor of working with Keith Davis, RB from 84 to 86. He blew out his knee in 85, Jeff Powell took over and, well, you know. Any way, in 02 he invited me to tag along with him to Ktown for the game against #1 Miami. To my surprise, when we got there, we met up with the team coming out of the building for the VolWalk. We followed them down to the stadium and into the locker room. Walked out on the field for the walk thru with Casey Clausen and Randy Sanders. I met all the coaches as they came to say HI to Keith and welcome him back. I met Jason Witten, and Tori Noel was there visiting as well, with his HUGE Super Bowl ring from the Broncos win. I got to stand on the sideline for the game, right behind actor David Keith (who's a jackass), and was even on CBS by virtue of standing behind James Banks as he was warming up after Casey got hurt (My wife taped the game for me). I had a friend in the stands that took some pictures of that day, had them blown up and framed as a Christmas present for me. Other than my kids being born, the best day of my life.

I remembered another brush with the vols. Gator Bowl--Jacksonville, 1994-1995? Peyton's freshman year. We stay in hotel with team and other fans. Saw peyton, eli, archie. My dad tells Archie all he can think of is "Archie who? 38-0" I about died.

Also later that evening I'm wondering down the hall trying to find rec room and hear awful piano playing. Turn the corner and it's Brandon Stewart and Benji Shuler. Then in the game room lots of players in there but only one white dude wrestling with the other guys. Turns out it's Todd Helton in knee brace.
I knew the guy was going to be great baseball player but no idea he'd be as good as he was.
Otherwise I might have given him a lecture. I'm sure he would've listened.

I also have information that could probably do some damage to Clemson, concerning Tahj Boyd and tattoos, but I'll keep that one to myself 😎
