Try this on. If TN goes O for the conference this year, when will the streak be broken? I'm sure there are some impressive records for all-time conference losing streak, but the Vols might get into that conversation if they keep it up! Buy more tickitz!

lol. Ok so let's play your game. People stop showing up. Then what?

The bigger part of the problem is perpetually hiring unproven coaches who put lousy, unprepared teams on the field.

You're not quitting? That's great. I'm not either but i have never seen a game won or lost on a message board. It's up to the coaches and players on the field.

Not sure why people are disregarding the fact that we haven't come out and looked like a team prepared to play, not once this season. Even against ETSU and UTEP, team was flat, and when you play an SEC team, even a bad one like this Florida team, you get wrecked.

If teams play like they practice, then I've got serious questions as to how this staff is preparing this team each week.

Folks, having my doubts. UT is what they are and will be for a long time, a bottom feeder in the SEC. Might as well face it, UT is just another W for the rest of the SEC.

We are gonna get vaporized by Georgia and Bama....NO WAY we beat Kentucky....or Vandy...this is another winless season. I doubt we even come close in any of those games.

Thanks Pruitt. Thanks for bringing back the pride of being a Vol. You're awesome man.

Now give us you're tough guy BS postgame speech. Can't wait.

If Florida sucks....can u imagine how gawd awful this Vols team is? You know what's sad is Wisconsin NEVER even breaks the top 30 in recruiting...YET...last week they were a top 5 team...and last year a top 5 team until losing the Big 10 championship. So we don't have a bunch of 5 stars. There should be enough talent to not have games like this. But again...we are blessed with garbage coaching from an overrated schlep from Alabama.

That's one of my bigger concerns right there.

This team hasn't showed up ready to play in a game yet and the coaching staff looks completely overmatched against the 2 decent teams they played so far.

Yeah, this isn't a case of playing down to competition, we're not competitive, in any way, with other teams in our conference.

So far this team is utterly lost against P5 opponents.

I agree because they look lost in space.

When teams see Tennessee on the schedule they circle it has a W, we are now the sure win for all other SEC teams used to be Vandy and Kentucky now it is Tennessee.

And the thing is it's not like WVU or FL are world beaters. Neither of those teams end up making the top 15 or probably 20 IMO.

So Pruitt has let Holgorsen shred him in the second half and he went into panic mode early in this game. This team isn't responding well to adversity and it's starting at the top.

It's scary to think was what Bama, Auburn, and UGA is gonna do to these guys.

Definelty WVU's defense, and Florida's offense. There's really no excuse other than poor coaching for us to not improved over 2017, so show so poorly against those teams in that respect.

I don't know what to think about this game. What a shock. I wasn't banking on a win. But what a complete butt kicking and seemingly lack of preparedness and moxy. Just terribly embarrassing. I don't like to jump ahead and say it, but that was a joke. That was a bad team we got worked by. Run run pass wasn't working early. It hasn't worked to this point. I'm embarrassed. Not gonna over think it. But I think we have a garbage coach again.

I really do not know why our team plays like a gang of circle jerkers. I just know that they do.

We looked worse in this game, against a terrible Florida, than we did a month ago against WVU with a good offense and a mediocre defense.

Seeing zero improvement at this point.

Apparently many on VN feeling a need to start new threads, all saying the same thing. Knock back that hangover remedy...raw egg, olive oil and Tabasco. Return to your keyboard when stable.

maybe they can recruit and develop the players to get us back in the hunt
Here is the concern I have, Pruitt may have had a real chance to sell a lot of blue chips on a rebuild 20-25 years ago, but with kids nowadays? I am not so sure.

We are about to get beat like a circus monkey at least 3 games in a row, I fear we'll have trouble keeping the kids we have committed, much less reeling in some of the big fish we are chasing. These top kids are going to be hesitant to come take the kind of beating JG took tonight (I admire the hell out of that kid by the way). Kids with the option to go play at Ohio State, Clemson, Bama, or Georgia are going to go rather than be beat to death and used up in college.

I am worried that Pruitt, though he may be a good coach, has no idea how to rehabilitate a program in as bad a shape as ours. The wheels looked like they were coming off down there on the sideline tonight. When Georgia beats us 59-20, Auburn 42-6, and Bama 63-0, will Pruitt stop at kicking a dry erase board then? Will more players quit mid-game?

I think it's clear Pruitt can coach from his past stops but he always had raw materials to work with, he doesn't now and the danger of the real hard*** leadership style is that you can push people too far, particularly in the absence of success and be shot in Vietnam by your own troops like that guy from Animal House. If we don't land the big fish Pruitt is shooting for in recruiting, we will be empty handed and too behind the game to even get the kind of underrated 3 stars that guys like Stoops, Holgersen, and Mullen build their team around through development so that they are really good players by the time they are redshirt juniors and seniors.

That's the reality of the type of rebuild our team needs but I think we are instead opting for the high risk/high reward blue chip shortcut and that route might be closed in the next month and what then?
