At what point is it acceptable for one to stop singing about rainbows, unicorns and daffodils?

We are 10+ years into this nightmare!

I have unfortunately come to this realization too. We shouldn't be this bad, but we should consider 8-9 wins to be a really good season. The AD and boosters ruined this program by hiring crap HC after crap HC and we will NEVER recover.

Did you hear me singing about rainbows? I know we stink and I know we are going to suffer more pain in the upcoming death march portion of our season. And wow, what a way to start the second half!

But I am a Vol fan and I don't care if the nightmare continues. I stand with my Vols.

I will be honest, I can't help but wonder at this point if we are just like Colorado. Good program in the 90s and they shared a championship. Just slowly slid into irrelevance as the fans slowly slid into apathy.

Maybe it's not fair to call Pruitt a bad coach yet, but how often does a first time HC, OC, DC work in the SEC? Not often.

We're probably staring at a 3-9 season.

Helton calls plays like he has Bama talent.

These players somehow seem even slower and weaker than last year.

Last drive wasnt about coaching, penalties, it was only about getting outmanned- and old fashioned ass whipping.

You can't really call ANY of their players ..... "play makers"..... they're are a few talented ones.... but overall.... well below average.

People need to realize the situation was worse than what Dooley left and this will take a few years to even have a chance to get back to respectability.

The thing I like about tonight is you can see the kids on the sidelines hurting over this loss. Last year they would’ve been laughing and acting like everything was fine on the sidelines. That shows me the mentality is changing, but until all the bad is coached out of them, the weak kids leave and this staff gets THEIR players how could we expect anything better than what we saw last year.

So yeah this may be the worst Florida team ever, but we are also seeing the leftovers of the worst UT team ever trying to learn an all new system.
In Florida they can miss on the top 10 players in the state and still get a solid roster. Tennessee misses the top 10 in state and they are left with fcs level players at best. So fixing UF is much easier and quicker than fixing UT will ever be.

The bigger part of the problem is perpetually hiring unproven coaches who put lousy, unprepared teams on the field.

You're not quitting? That's great. I'm not either but i have never seen a game won or lost on a message board. It's up to the coaches and players on the field.

Try this on. If TN goes O for the conference this year, when will the streak be broken? I'm sure there are some impressive records for all-time conference losing streak, but the Vols might get into that conversation if they keep it up! Buy more tickitz!
