Since he was one of the coaches specifically named in the NCAA letter his college coaching career will be put on hold for awhile as he should be banned for a few yrs. How many depends on how deep the NCAA determined his involvement. Would think every coach named in the letter will get banned. Pearl got 3 yrs I think it was for far less.

Fred is gonna get fried.
That mouth that just lied, and lied;
To get recruits to avoid Tennessee.
Like a raccoon cornered in a tree;
A dark time is coming, a pitch black night.
Payback for spouting his Tennessee spite.
Fred is gonna get fried.
His mouth just lied, and lied.

Where’s an article that details his involvement?
When I see all these staff members named as participating and many lying to investigators, I'm amazed UT escaped "lack of institutional control" charges.

Nieds knew it was wrong, did it, lied about it but coaches, recruiters, etc were all in it, lied about it so I'm really baffled how the NCAA didn't see it as an institutional problem....... but I'm okay with their decision.

I'd guess that part of the decision to not charge them with LOIC is the idea that the school cleaned house. New chancellor, new AD, new coaching staff with no ties to the previous. In other words, none of the current administration/staff had any hand in what happened. They took major steps to fix the mess, and the NCAA didn't find any additional violations outside of what Tennessee self-reported.

Gump fellas would make a very good documentary and Amy Adams and John Goodman would be perfect casting choices as Casey Pruitt and Phil Fulmer per today's John Adams column in the KNS.

Did, or will they, release the names of the players that were involved? I know many have guessed but I'm not interested in guesses. Thx

In light of the ncaa finally making a statement yesterday I would just like to say F*** neidermeyer. I’m sure he was In the ears of Tate and mauigoa with lots of UT slander. I hope the gets hit with so many sanctions he won’t even be able to get a job in peewee. That’s all. Thank you and have a blessed day.

Yeah, eff this guy. He's worthless and weak.
