No one on this board holds a candle to the liberals I know. I know some folks that are way, WAY out there.

My favorite one is my Aunt. Vandy grad, retired pediatric surgeon..1%er..thinks taxes should raise all poor people out of poverty into..new poverty I guess..lives on her own isolated mountain with a massive ranch house and a bevy of luxury cars...leaving her millions to a dog pound in West Virginia..wtf.

Normal liberalism isn't bad and most of its objectives have been achieved; rights to vote, freedom of speech, end of slavery, liberty for all, etc.

Modern liberalism is awful..free lunch/some more equal than others crowd.

Most modern liberals represent communists more than a classical liberal. Clamp down on freedom of speech because dissenters to the great party must have their voices silenced! Here is this "Affordable" health care but if you cant afford it we are going to penalize you through taxes...raise taxes on "the rich" to help stabalize the middle class. That is my favorite. The rich ends up being someone making like $70K and up.

It's getting to the point where there's very little left to discuss between the loons and others who simply post to drive threads off-topic.

Ignore function is not really an option for a mod

Yes, if you don't get it, you just aren't as smart and nuanced as Obama and team!

It's LG...sometimes you just have to recognize ignorance when you see it and move on.

I'm reminded of that scene from The Great Santini where Santini's men enthusiastically gobble up his vomit from the floor with spoons.

Yeah, it's easy. Exercise tolerance.. unless you are a white Christian male with a job, then you don't get to keep you earnings, you have to be guilty for things that happened before your great grandfather was born.. (and probably had NOTHING to do with)... and lastly, you don't get to exercise your faith in public. I could go on.
