I think the blowout losses to Kentucky and Arkansas this year were inexcusable. Getting physically dominated by GA state last year was also terrible.

There is no doubt that TN looked horrific and didn't make adjustments in the 3rd and 4th quarter against Arkansas. There is no doubt UT had the better team. But, calling a 11 pt loss a blowout is beyond laughable!!!

The scoreboard doesn’t always tell the full story, especially when you consider the score going into halftime.

As a fan base, are we not giving the man time to put his plan in place? Is he just slow in developing his system here at TN?

And what about Gus, Gene and Hugh? Seems like the fan base is trying to single out all of their flaws, but these are proven coaches with baggage...like everyone else. We cannot go into lab and create the perfect coach who wins at least 10 games a year.

Let’s get realistic. We don’t need a guy who runs out the clock with 2 minutes to go and who cannot get past 3rd down to pick up first downs consistently. Nerve wracking.

I started to reply to each of your paragraphs separately but then I confused myself with my own answers.

Not to mention public recruiting blunders, mask fines and outright idiotic press conferences.
Speaking of mask fines, I read somewhere in a release that all the SEC athletic directors signed off on a rule that they would be responsible for ensuring that athletic staff/coaches wore masks properly. So, there's another one of Fulmer's goofs.

There's a bit of rolling the dice in recruiting. Skill and experience help you determine who to recruit, but how the kids and families arrive at their final decisions... that part can be a crap shoot.

I think Tennessee (Pruitt) has been very unlucky (or inept, in some convoluted sort of way) in upgrading the defensive line. Every other position has been improved by new players.

A logical case can be made that the lack of size/skill/talent across that D-line has had a domino effect on everything else.

O-line is not going up against quality in practice. QB's practice rhythm is busted by oponents' pass rush. DBs adjust their coverage because they know there isn't a pass rush limiting the QB's time to throw. Slant patterns are open because our D-linemen get easily pushed out of the passing lanes necessary for short, inside patterns. Our D still can't get off the field on third downs because opposing QBs always have time to wait for any length pattern to develop.

I'm not making excuses, just trying to understand why on-field success has not been achieved under a darn good (based on past records) coaching staff.

This is all true but to be fair 9 of those blowouts came to 3 teams that we know are/were better then us. We had alot of ground to make up on them. I think we have all seen the team come out prepared to play. Their problem is learning how to finish games. When your team leaders aint never won how are they supposed to teach the younger guys. That makes it a process bc now u have to learn on the job. Man we fielded one of the youngest teams in the country the last couple years.
Ahhh the ol youngest team ....

Coaches and their devotees trot that one anytime the team sucks...a team can not be young forever. And if in year three the staff dont have a somewhat experienced squad because they keep hoping the new freshamn are gonna wow...they simply arent developing thw talent on hand. Which obviously is a problem with multiple positions in Knoxville.

It is never too early to expect good decisions, good schemes, good player management, and wins against teams with significantly less talented rosters. The end.

It’s really an embarrassment to the university and to the state. I’m not entirely sure why people refuse to see it that way.

If he was winning none of that stuff would matter. Mask fines? Who GAF?? Masks.. that's the last thing anyone should be concerned about. The embarrassment there are all the fools who wear those worthless, filthy stinking diapers on their face in the first place.

I hope this is sarcasm. I have too many friends burying loved ones the past couple weeks. I have another friend waiting on an emergency bed at Indianapolis Children's because her son with a heart defect was exposed by her waste of sperm ex husband. I've had friends in the ICU, and a former student who was forced into labor so she wouldn't give birth while intubated as doctors tried to save her life.

Science overwhelmingly disagrees with the belief that masks don't work. I'm sorry that it wasn't presented to you in the right way for it to be accepted.

Tell that to the guy who doesn’t make 100k a year but saves up and takes his kids to the games. All that idiot has to do is wear it on his mouth. He’s literally wearing it everywhere else but his mouth.

1. Let Chaney run the offense, without question.
2. Let Ainsley run the defense
3. Fire Weinke
4. Resign

First time head coach probably doesn't have a system. Look's like he's trying to be late 2000's Bama with a less than ideal roster. The game is different now. More flash and dash instead of ground and pound. The body language of this team is what is telling. Something just isn't right and we saw it all year. After Pruitt i'd end the Bama assistant hiring run. It's Saban, top recruits, a school and state that is all in with that program. You can't recreate it anywhere else.

It seems we have fielded one of the youngest teams in the country every year since CPF was coach. How in the hell is this possible
