He had good reason. We haven't been very good a couple of nights AT NEYLAND.

I've just never heard a fan base so sure of themselves with so little results to back that confidence up. When the heck did South Carolina fans gain confidence in talking smack to any SEC team?

This guy came over here last week and talked so much smack. Now he comes over after his team got whipped, and pretty much says that USC lost because they played so poorly, nothing to do with the truth of USC getting outplayed, outexecuted, and outcoached by a more physicl team. Screw his backhanded compliment I say. Popcorn is just calling them like he sees them. Now go and have an orange slice and a juicebox and live in your world of "fair".

What would make him a hypocrite would be saying something like "I don't like it when people talk trash...thats not fun"
Then talking trash.

You must have a minimum understanding of trash talking.. If I were trash talking I would have started a thread that was directed at him talking about how much their team sucks..

But he's the one that started the thread, and I'm just simply agreeing with him that his team sucks and he shouldn't talk smack in the first place

He wasnt the worst. I am still looking for number5iscoming4u.

^this That kid was one of the most obnoxious, arrogant posters I can recall. And all coming from a Cock fan no less. He was worse than bammers or gators imo. At least their teams are good. The cocks are not good and never will be.

Well that's obvious. And it was obvious last week too, when he talked smack. But I don't recall anyone here starting smack talk threads on any of the sc boards.
we didn't just manhandle their team. They turned it over 4 times. 3 fumbles and a tipped pass. Recall how that made us look against UCLA.

I agree BigPapa.......we drove crisply down field on the only sustained drive of the night.......and promptly missed a field goal. Guess we really showed them a thing or two.

Pride comes before the fall. Both talked trash, the side that lost admitted defeat. Be as classy in victory as he was in defeat.

After all its not like anyone talking trash had anything to do with the outcome.

Which were all forced. And again, you could make the argument that we were the better team against UCLA that just made too many mistakes. South Carolina was not the better team against us, and the turnovers didn't help their team.

On a side note, how awesome would it have been to have this Crompton against UCLA and the 1st half of Auburn? Add that with a field goal last week against Bama and we're sitting atleast in the top 8 right now with a chance at the national championship.. Florida would beat us 10 out of 10 times this season.

The interception went through the receiver's hands and the first fumble was lame. JJ made a good hit, but just took out the knees. He should never have fumbled that ball.

Exactly. It's unfortunate that the 4th place cock fans confidence didn't carry over to their own team.

Best 4-4 team in the nation...thats something i guess. We have been so close to an awesome season.

But he did, and we recovered, and we scored. Good teams take advantage of opportunities. Our defense gave us opportunities and their defense didn't.

No excuses though, and I didn't eat any crow for my smack talk during those two games because I didn't talk smack. Any fan who decides to talk smack has crossed a line, period.

no argument, but UCLA can make the same argument.

Yep, because they're D made stops when they needed it and we didn't. They were the better team that day, however they stopped a 4th and 1 down near the goal line and several other stops when we were in their own territory.. those are threats.. South Carolina didn't fumble every drive.. they had oppurtunities and never threatened inside our territory, besides the one long pass when the game had already been decided IMO.

Much of this is due to his the way he plays ball. He will try to get the extra yards instead of getting all he can out of it without taking the unnecessary hits. I'm not knocking the guy for it, but it does leave you open to the body shots that can lead to injury, not to mention fumbles.
Agree. I think he may have that beat out of him now, though.

actually all of his injury issues this year were from hits while throwing or running out of the pocket to pass, he has jumped right up after every hit while running. I just hope he stays healthy:crossfingers:

USC is a good team and if they don't get down on themselves they should have a very good season.
