Expectations???

This has been one of the best team's in UT history and I wanted to hear everybody's opinion on what they expect this team to do come tourney time.

We've all seen how unpredictable the tourney can be...and I'm sure we've all lost some money on its unpredictability (assuming gambling were legal :thumbsup:).

I think we have one of the best chances in the nation to win it all. Assuming they make the Final Four, any of you guys planning on making the trip to San Antonio? If so, any advice on getting tickets?

I'm expecting a final 4 run. after that, it's all a crap shoot.

We have very glaring strengths and weaknesses and have the ability to get to the final 4. Anything less would be disappointing, but not the end of the world.

IMO, this team will go as far as one Ramar Smith carries us. Not saying Ramar carries the team, but if he's plays well, we're going to be hard for anyone to handle.

I honestly think we lose in the sweet 16 if not sooner. We will lose to a team we shouldn't. Just my opinion.

we have everything we need to be a final four team. will we get there? not sure. anything can happen. plus the guys seem like they haven't gotten their second wind yet. hopefully they will come sec tourney time. either way w/e happens, it's been an exciting year. I thank the Lord that Bruce has given me something fun to watch these past 3 years.

I agree about the Ramar Smith call...but I always like teams with good senior leadership, which I feel we have. We also have real good balance throughout the line-up.

I feel pretty confident...hopefully not too confident

This team should make the Elite 8. Anything less will be a disappointment. This team can win it all if the pieces fall in place.

I think that if you actually believe that we are a top 4 team, then you would have to expect us in the final four. I know that it takes near perfect basketball and a little luck to get their but if we play our best, we should be there. I'll be proud of this team no matter what happens. It has been a magical year for the Vols.

I'm just scared to death of the game where we can't score and the other team shoots out of their minds.

If we are a 1 seed and make it to the Sweet 16 the highest possible seed we would play would be a 4 seed I believe. Can anyone confirm this?

Yep that's true.

I can see us going to the Elite 8, maybe the Final Four, maybe past that, but I could also see us losing a game we shouldn't.

Any ideas on how I could get tix to final four if we make it?

I'd dare say that your scenario would prove troublesome for any team in the history of hoops.

Recall the twin towers of UK going 3-31 in a second half to be sent home early. It certainly happens.

Yes it's a cause for concern for every team that makes the dance. Lets just hope we might be lucky enough where this incident will not occur.

Sweet sixteen should be a given. After that its a crap shoot. If the team from the second half of last nights game shows up. I like our chances.

Elite 8 would be nice for this team. I think Bruce and his team have higher expectations though. Bruce wants the title, but he will praise this team no matter what the outcome of the tourney.

Anything less than a Final Four run would be dissapointing due to the talent that we have this year. Do I think we can win it all? Possibly, but it all depends on matchups. I honestly do believe that we are yet to play our best basketball that Tennessee is capable of playing and I think that you will all agree with me on that. It is going to be a ride, and I cannot wait for it to begin.
