Expectations...what would make you satisfied with this football season?

For me 9-3/10-2 and at least 2nd in SEC East.

I expect us to snap the Alabama losing streak within the next 3 years if not this year. I expect an SEC East Championship in 3 years if not this year. I think this is the year to do big things...then maybe take a small step back with a new QB next year...then have a breakout season in 2024 or 2025.

Win the games we should (KY, SC, MZ, Pitt, and Vandy). Beat Florida handily. Take both GA and Bama deep into the 4th quarter and pull out a win, or at least lose by 7 or less.

8-4 is an outstanding season based on where we're coming from. This is the last year where 8-4 is very good. Next year will need to be a 9-3/10-2 type season. Playoffs in '24 or '25.

Whoa now, partner. I agree with most of what you say, but as long as Kirby is at Georgia and Saban is at Bama, we are gonna have a tough time getting the East championship. We have to close that gap more with solid recruiting AND retention/development. We also still dont know if the NCAA will slap us with any more penalties that could set us back (unlikely, but possible).

Plus, we dont even know if there WILL be an East championship to win in 3 years. Sounds like divisions are going to be done away with.

For this team and staff at this point in time, 8-4 would meet the expectations of most rational.fans and analysts.

Bama and Georgia are a very tall order just on talent alone.

LSU could very well be a game that doesnt go our way. They have talent and a proven coach, even though he is his first year in Baton Rouge.

The staff is still learning and adapting to SEC play. One more loss due to.coaching, while not desired,should not surprise anyone.

After this year though..if we have equal talent there is no reason not to expect a win.

I think anytime you can go 8-4 in the SEC, you have had a solid season. That being said, I can very easily see us going 10-2 this year with losses to Bama and Georgia only. I think LSU and Florida are gonna be the most important games of the year, as those are the biggest toss ups we have. I feel good about Pitt, UK, Mizzou and SCar. But those two games should make the difference between 10-2 and 8-4, which in the eyes of everyone is a huge difference. 10-2 would put us likely 3rd best in the SEC, and Top 10 in the country probably
