I guess I just don't understand why we should care what somebody like this has to say. No offense to the OP, but this is just not thread-worthy, IMO.

Each and every person can talk ish right now. Fans from every team can mouth to other teams, writers can say why they think teams will be good/suck even if it sounds like something thought up in a headstart.

This is the time of year people can say anything for clicks. After next Thursday the season begins and the majority of these idiots go away or have to use facts, scores, stats etc.

Let the ish for brains people speak while they can and then let the world see what the Vols are made of starting with App St. The rest will take care of itself.

How he passed his journalism classes is beyond me. Regardless of the veracity of the article, his writing "style" is just a pain in the ass to read.

Another reason to ignore anything Calhoun writes, check out this sentence from an article he published 2 days ago. Pretty clearly illustrates the guy has a poor grasp on the subject he's writing about.

"Charlie Strong, meanwhile, has been a little bit worse at Texas than Jones was his first two years at Tennessee. However, Jones at least inherited somewhat of a roster and didn’t have to change the culture."

That quote though. Wtf? The roster Butch inherited was awful and the culture had to be completely changed from top to bottom and he's done a great job doing that. What's this kid's deal?
