Then somebody post the correct schedule and I'll say 7-5. Still won't beat SC.

Vols go 8-4 at best. Payback for UCLA. Loss in the swamp during Superman's final season. Vols get by Auburn and Matt Staffordless UGA. The misery of a third straight loss in TSIO continues. The Cocks go on a two game winnning streak against UTK. The final loss comes against Jevan Snead and Co. in Oxford. Tennessee wins all of its lay-up games: WKU, Ohio, Memphis, Vandy, and UK.

Ummmm....We can't go 7-4 or 8 - 3 we play 12 games....
The OP left off Western Kentucky at the begining of the year...

I am going to ASSUME, that we get either Kelly or Kiffin and that there is some pretty solid talent on this team and the new coach gets our QB situation at least decent....

WKU - W
UCLA - W
Florida - BIG L
Ohio - W
Auburn - W
Georgia - L
Alabama - L
South Carolina - W
Memphis - W
Mississippi - L
Vandy - W
Kentucky - W

8-4 with a trip to the Peach bowl...playing Clemson in the battle of the new coaches!

Here's the correct schedule:p

7-5 or 8-4 and best. No way a new coach with a new offensive scheme in his first year wins 10 plus games like most of the crack heads on this sight think. You have to realize he will be running an offense with players that haven't been recruited for that style of play.

Sept. 12 UCLA Knoxville WIN
Sept. 19 Florida* Gainesville LOSS
Sept. 26 Ohio Knoxville WIN
Oct. 3 Auburn* Knoxville WIN
Oct. 10 Georgia* Knoxville LOSS
Oct. 24 Alabama* Tuscaloosa LOSS
Oct. 31 South Carolina* Knoxville LOSS
Nov. 7 Memphis Knoxville WIN
Nov. 14 Mississippi* Oxford WIN
Nov. 21 Vanderbilt* Knoxville WIN
Nov. 28 Kentucky* Lexington WIN

7-4 with the USCe, UGA, and Aub game being tossups. We should beat UCLA the same way Cal beat us in their revenge game.

The real guess is how many picks will Berry return for TDs... 5?

Florida went from 7-5 to 9-3 after hiring Urban Meyer. Alabama went from 6-7 to 7-6 when they hired Saban. Finally, Georgia went from 8-4 to 8-4 when hiring Richt. Let's hope for a Zook turn around. Illini went from 2-10 to 9-3 after he took that position. Just food for thought. 8-4 or 9-3 would be great. However, I cannot stand losing to Bama, GA, or FL. Although it would have to be better than losing to WYOMING!!!!!!!!

And since your opinion is so much more important, everyone else on this "sight" is a crack head. Good job.

I agree with GV concerning qb play. If our qb is a no show again next season we will be very lucky to go to a bowl game.

The schedule looks soft, but that won't matter if we don't get at least serviceable QB play.

You call playing Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Miss soft? I mean, granted your OOC games aren't remarkable, but your SEC schedule is pretty rough. Always is.

At any rate, I'll say 6-5 or 5-6. I can't find 7 wins for you in there, but likewise can't really find 7 losses.

Ole Miss hasn't beaten us into submission yet as they have the Gators.:)

Welcome back to the main board and Happy Turkey Day, LG.

You could find 7 wins if you would notice that we play 12 games and you are leaving off a win to Western Kentucky at the start of the season.

and one thing for the posters that are touting "are these your expectations?" blather.....

program expectations and expectations for next year are two different things. remember that.

expecting 10 wins next year is tantamount to expecting Santa to bring you what you really want for Christmas. it aint happening.

so to recap, a team that is going to have an entirely new coaching staff, lose some folks to graduation and the NFL, who still doesn't have a quarter back and has no idea what will be coming in for this year recruiting class............can't realistically expect to go from 4 wins to 10 over night.

no bowl this year, so no extra practice........if they could just get to a post season game next season, i'd call that going in the right direction. 8-4 to me at this point would be a great season, all things considered. however, 7-5 or 6-6 is probably more reasonable, especially if our qb play doesn't improve...quickly.

I expect nothing less than 6 wins. I believe 7 or 8 wins with a good hire and maybe 9 wins with an excellent hire. Remember we're not the only ones losing personnel after this year. Alabama will lose several and Florida may have some of the stars go early to the pros. Georgia is losing some good players also. In other words we might surprise someone BETTER THAN WE ARE if we get a very good coach. That's not likely, but Bama surprised us with the first year of a new coach, so it isn't out of the question.

However it ends up, I know if they play hard and are improving game to game it will certainly lift my spirits. If the wins and loses are not very good next year I just want to see solid play, less dumb mistakes, and somebody other than Eric Berry wrap somebody up.

Bottom Line: I CAN'T WAIT! :eek:k:
