Expectations for Next year

Full speed ahead! I feel our coaches adjust better without the comfort of their standbys. Blessing in disguise with young/hungry new talent.

Agreed. Nico didn’t really win us any games last year, he just didn’t lose any. He was a decent game manager who relied heavily on the run game and defense. I would like to think that Merk can do the same.
The prevailing question everyone is really asking is: Will our offense with Merk at QB COST us any games?

That's not a good question to be asking when you play in the SEC because our D is good but so are a lot of defenses our inexperienced QB will face.

I've called our offense "vanilla" for the last 2 years but if we're going to be even MORE run first, even less aggressive offensively, we'll be inviting SEC defenses to load the box and stop the run.

Then you get behind the sticks and your QB had better be accurate or he'll get picked.

I want to think we will be strong on D and special teams. I am leaning 8-4 to a 9-3. Expectations should stillbe high. We did not win the natty with Peyton and we expected a drop off with Tee. Kaboom we win it all. Other players stepping up might surprise us.

8-4 to 10-2. I feel like it will be like last year. Learning Qb with great running backs and good defense. The competition level is a little more elevated with Florida being better. So I think 8-4 to 9-3 but I will not be surprised if we go 10-2.

I had us at 9-3 before the recent events

8-4 sounds about right at the moment.

Lose the big 3 and either OU/Arky-probably OU.

I see 7-5 as the floor

Also wouldn't completely shock me for the team to galvanize and go 10-2

In short, not a dang clue but at least hope we will have a team with guys who actually want to be here.
