Expectations for Da'Rick Rogers?

I also thought it was strange that Rogers wasn't mentioned in the PC. I know for a fact that he wasn't an EE, but I'm not sure if he is enrolled at UT officially or not. Maybe he is in summer school right now? But again I'm not sure if that would mean he is officially enrolled or not. Someone who is more in the know of these things might be able to answer that question for us.

What are you referring to when you say PC?

A former Vol is using Twitter to chime in on the latest arrests in Knoxville involving Tennessee football players. Jayson Swain was a standout wide receiver for the Vols from 2003-2006...
..."I'm not making excuses for the players but there's a problem on BOTH sides. With police and players...Let's think about this... 3 different UT coaches. Same issues. Every school is the same. Same clubs... Ask yourself what is the variable??":good!:

Some of the constants of these situations: Alcohol, bars, late at night... Is it really worth it guys?

Free college educations, fame, NFL careers, millions of dollars being lost. What is so great about getting drunk that makes it so worth it? What is so special about a bunch of rotten fruit or grains?

And another thing: What punishment is Bar Knoxville facing for serving alcohol to under-agers? I haven't heard this mentioned yet.

I was just wondering what everybody's expectations were for him? I know there is a chance he could miss part of the season bc of suspension, but for the sake of things let's just say he plays the entire season. There has been many freshmen WR make a big impact in the SEC the last few years. Will he be the next?

Too many contributers in front of him. The only way he sees significant minutes is if one of our starters goes down with injury. Let's hope he can possibly make an impact on special teams.

Dooley's failure to mention DR in the presser or publicly announce his punishment so far means one of the following...IMO...

1.) Dooley has all the info he needs and has decided that it only warrents "internal" punishment (i.e. no suspension or dismissal..just allowing Wylie to make him wish he were never born)...

or

2.) Dooley feels he needs more information on DR's involvement before he can decide the appropriate course of action with him

The first would bode well for us considering DR wouldn't miss any possible game time...the 2nd is a little more ominous considering it would almost certainly guarantee a more serious punishment is on the way...

If I were a betting man I'd say it's the 2nd...although I'd be shocked if it's more than a 1 game suspension

Also, as I understand it...DR is enrolled in summer classes right now which means he is officially a UT student athlete subject to all rights, rules and regulations of that disitinction

Which contributors are you speaking of in front of him? Besides the seniors Moore and Jones there should be no one in front of him. Teague had all of 10 catches last year, and not to mention both Moore and Jones have stayed injured throughout their whole careers. I could be wrong, but I don't see them having Teague, Z.Rogers, or any of the other freshmen out there before DR. Gerald Jones and Denarius Moore will be the starters with Rogers next in the rotation IMO.

Well I hope your wrong about the 2nd part being true. hopefully it is just the first one and they can run the crap out of him and make him not want to do that sort of thing again.

It would be interesting to know if the cop had any alcohol in his system and how much, when he was taken to the hospital. If he did, it would probably get covered up anyways. But if that does come out, I'm not sure the KPD would have much ground to stand on.

You will never no

Hopefully, he doesn't miss more than 2 games. UT needs him big for the florida game.
