Today is the day:

- we break out some special stuff we have for these 2 kids
-Bryce makes his mark in the passing game similar to how he was used in the slot during All american game...Kiffin has only used him on dump offs so far waiting on the SEC games

-we make a statement! We may not win but we will prove a point that we are a few players away and those players are on their way! Enjoy it while you can cuz the Lane Train is on a mission!!!!

they will both see the field on kick returns and that is about it....this is Hardesty and Brown's game to win, oh and the OL needs to show up to make that happen

I doubt you'll see too much from the freshmen today. Big road game like this? The staff will lean on players they trust, they won't just throw players out there into the fire.

Brown will play a big factor, but other than punts and kick offs, I don't think you'll see anyone else except for maybe teague every now and again.

too big of a national game with all eyes on it for him not to play the freshman. Crompton is more comfortable with the freshman than he is with Gerald and Denarious due to their injuries.

I hope you're right about oku and nuke--I'm tired of vanilla offense; it doesn't work anymore. The trend in offensive football has been to get the ball to speedsters in space--that's mainly the spread. Power football seems outdated to me--it's just not that hard to stop when you know it's coming. This is why we'll probably get slammed again today if play conservatively.

Also, UT needs to start well. We almost always start badly against florida--giving up early TDs and early points, and then lose.

I think Nuke will get some plays designed just for this game. Brown and Hardesty will get equal carries. Hardesty will pound it, and Brown needs to make some big plays. Doubt we see Oku much except returns. Janzen Jackson is a key to the game. They will avoid Berry's side of the field and attack JJ.

JJ needs to get his tackling back to basics and make sure he wraps them up and takes them down, saw him miss a couple of tackles against UCLA, against Florida thats a 40+ gain

JJ is a guhe weak spot for us on defense just because he is so inexperienced. He will be damn good soon, though. Even Berry gopt beat on some plays his true freshman year despite making that pick 6. I expect Cooper to go deep on JJ early.

I agree. FWIW, I think you put the young guys out there and let them do their thing.

I can see our young Freshmen all over the field today. They were recruited as instant playmakers and game changers. If you recall Lane made a comment after game one that the playbook had not been open yet and was saving some for the SEC. Well today it begins. Win or lose (I hope like heck we win, I can't stand the Gators) the rise of the VOLS begins today.

it will also help in recruiting if they see Kiffin playing a lot of Freshmen.

not if it is a blow out...if you play the frosh, you play them early and as long as it is a tight game....when it gets out of hand, play the seniors

If the freshman did not play last week against a weak Pac-10 school what makes you think they will get quality playing time versus the best team in the nation. Dont get me wrong I really enjoy seeing the young guys play and watch them come into there own but seriously they played well against WKU did not play at all against UCLA. So why should we expect them to carry our UT Vols this week against a power house Florida.

I don't think anybody knows what we're gonna see today except the coaches. I like it.

I have wished for a NC since 1998 but still have not recieved but maybe if we still continue this wishful thinking when can achieve a NC in 2-3 years!! When our freshman are experienced...and we actually have someone throw a TD pass every now and again.
