One of my favorite dishes is lamb. It is a greek dish....a lamb shank is rubbed with garlic and peppercorns and roasted. It is sliced and layered with a mixture of goat cheese + chopped tomatoes + spices, then a layer of lamb, then the mixture, etc. All of this is wrapped in salt-cured grape leaves and then baked.

That, my friends, is GOOD.

That does sound really good.

Bull testicles

And, it was at a superbowl party about 10 years ago with alot of hot chicks. We told them it was chicken and they loved it!!

You soak 'em in salt water and cut them in strips, batter and deep fry them and nobody will ever know!! They are delicious!

i don't know whether to laugh or be disgusted

The first time I had this dish was at a cooking class that my wife and I took on our honeymoon. The chef came by to see how we liked it after to see what we thought of the dish. I said, "The grape leaves really complement the flavor of the lamb." However, my wife heard, "The grape leaves really complement the flavor or the LAND." She was making fun of me all day over that one. "Oh the colors of the sky, and the flavor of the land - let me write you some poetry..."

All my life I've heard of eating mountain oysters, which I've only heard applied to hog testicles, but I had never considered actually trying them. Your post makes Lamb seem damned attractive.

I can't believe y'all are getting worked up over bull testicles. I've tried them fried and they were tasty... a little bland, that's all. They were enjoyable with Tabasco sauce.

as i said, the pig ones I had weren't that bad. it was just the mental process that started after I was told what they were.
