The solution is to collectively bargain with the players, ala professional sports leagues. Everything thing else will fail because it can be overturned in court.
Very likely, but that is the last thing the NCAA wants. I believe they would rather maintain the current status quo than give the athletes employee status and accept collective bargaining.
