How many of you have been sold on Evolution? Also, to what degree do you think evolution exists if any?

My view is that animals do indeed evolve. If you put a mammal in a freezing climate, eventually it's hair will begin to thicken somewhere down the line.

I don't buy into the whole we came from apes business. I am a Christian and believe God created the world and life in it, however, it is not a stretch for me to think that our genetic makeup is smart enough to adapt itself to a particular environment.

There is no doubt in my mind that animals/humans evolve, with that said I'm with you RTH, I believe that god created man and that we did not evolve from the ape.

And for the record, I believe that the belief in God and evolution is not mutually exclusive. I believe that He works through evolution and the laws of science He put in place.

I agree that the belief in a higher power(s) is not exclusive to evolution.

I also believe to believe in adaptation and natural selection, but not full-fledged evolution, is either an intellectually dishonest cop-out or due to an ignorance of the scale of geologic time. Not trying to offend, just my opinion.

Some people are lagging a tad behind on the scale.

Evolutionary theory does not contend that people evolved from apes but that people and apes have a common ancestor. This is a common misconception.
