I've been hearing about how Florida's defense is the greatest thing ever for years now. They keep looking great early in the season and then get worse game by game after they beat us every year. They have a good defense. It isn't what ours was in 98 and its nothing like those Seminole defenses from the 90s that scored more points than a lot of the offenses they played against.

I believe we can move the ball on their D as long as we mix it up like last year but I still give Florida credit and say they earned their ranking so far. Discrediting them for playing weak teams doesn't make their defense worse. People are calling them the number 1 D because, well, the stats and rankings support it. They are good. Face it. Can we beat them? Absolutely.

North Texas

Not exactly top-tier competition. We'd be giving up less than 10 points if that were our schedule.

We gave up 180 yards rushing to both App State and Va Tech. But I guess they are world beaters so those yards shouldn't count. Our D looks soft against weak competition and theirs looks dangerous. Guess we'll know how good they are in 24 hours

You're an idiot.

App State was 11-2 last season. UMass was 3-9. North Texas was 1-11.

Pretty big difference.

You apparently also don't remember us holding North Texas to ZERO points last year either.

It's really almost absurd how much you NegaVols have to distort reality in order to maintain your Eeyore like dispositions.

I'm not saying Florida's defense isn't good. I'm saying that the competition they've faced is so incredibly weak, that it really doesn't tell us much. If our D can hold an App State squad that averaged 38 points per game last season 13 points in an overtime game, I'm pretty sure we can hold North Texas and UMass to under 10.
