I wonder how this compares to most teams. I mean, you don't expect a lot of the 2015 class to still be around.

The 2016 and 2017 classes were a disaster... and the 2015 class has only a few left. One minor mistake, Andrew Butcher was a medical retirement, not a transfer.

Pruitt walked into a better situation that Butch did.

How was it better? I'm not saying Pruitt shouldn't have done better, he should have, but he took over a bunch of kids that didn't give a chit and had given up, they were out of shape mentally and physically. And dont forget the other point everyone likes to bring up, Pruitt had never been a HC before and his brand new AD had never been an AD before.

Its fair to say he shouldn't have ever been hired in the first place, I would agree, but
I disagree, he walked into a better situation. It was way worse IMO.

The thing I find most interesting about this is every year the media and pundits make their preseason predictions and it’s the same story.

They just hate Tennessee and couldn’t name 10 players on the roster. They are just going by last year. Etc, etc, etc.

How the heck did anyone not know this stuff before the year that people are just noticing this now? I mean to the point where you’re penciling in wins like it was a given

And secondly, that still doesn’t excuse not knowing where to line up and the level of play they have shown this season. It explains why they are not SEC title material. It doesn’t explain why guys don’t know what they are doing

Speaking of tweets, why can I not ever see the tweets here on VN?

I just see the Twitter logo (the bird) and it will very, very briefly say "loading tweet" with a link, then it disappears. And the only way I can actually see the tweet is to click on that "loading tweet" link in the half a second it's on the screen.
Which adblocker/tracking blockers are you running in your browser?

Really? I don't remember Tennessee having the worst season ever before Butch came in. I don't remember the star player of the team going off calling the coaches liars before Butch came in. I don't remember the slip and fall on helmet accidents before Butch came in. Seems to me Pruitt walked into much worse.

Other than the lack of blue highlighted (leaving early for the Pros), I'm not sure this is any different than some other programs. Maybe the Medical redshirt is high, but I'm sure all major programs have people to leave. Still enough here to beat Georgia State and BYU.
Those were not redshirts. Those was medically RETIRED

That wasn't the case in either 2015 or 2016 when Tennessee had Derek Barnett, Cameron Sutton, Jalen Reeves-Maybin, Josh Dobbs, Curt Maggit, Josh Malone, Jalen Hurd... So, once again, one of your posts is off base and just plain wrong. Get lost.

You don't remember a team damn near revolting against it's HC?

The chart doesn't explain why we are infinitely worst than last year
Maybe you missed the part where we have, 0, none, nada players on the first 3 ALL-SEC teams. Obviously Trey would have been there if the writers knew he would be able to play but still that's 1 out of the Top 66 SEC players.

You want to use this excuse for Florida and BYU I’ll buy it. But what’s the excuse for GA st? An honest question.

There is no excuse. It was a poorly coached game and the team was unprepared, it’s solely on the coaches.

Just like Kirby taking over an 8-win UGA team and nearly losing to Nicholls State with them. This happens almost weekly in college football now.

Pruitt was a terrible hire we had 3 other better qualified coaches that wanted the job but Fulmer had to hire this bum cause god forbid a better coach outdo Phil. Pruitt will he gone hopefully by the end of 2020 along with Foolmer. Pruitt will not field one winning team in 3 seasons either my prediction.
