Dormady lost the only experienced receiver in the game in Jennings, with Smith already out, and all he did was throw for 220 yds 2 TDs with ZERO interceptions or fumbles (Dobbs)...never panicked down 14 in the 4th quarter...was up on his feet firing the crowd up for his defense...the kid is a LEADER. Am i saying he is peyton remade? No, its too early. He showed Clausen like ice in his veins though, and Herbstreet praised his big throws and leadership both during the game and on SC aftwrwards. We got a baller guys.

Also, great job Kelly!!! 120yds and 4TDS!!!!

Hope the defense shows up in the swamp.

He needs to get more comfortable in th pocket....looked like he was feeling ghost pressure a couple of times. Also threw some very interceptable balls that thankfully hit the turf. All in all I'm excited about the kid, B+ for his first start.

The line dramatically improved from 1st to 2nd half. It helped QD tremendously, as well as Kelly. Callaway making those big plays was a pleasant surprise. hope he can keep it up.

Callaway looks like he is ready to step up.

For sure. Havent been as excited about a receiver since Hunter pre injury. We havent had a true deep threat since him honestly, in that Jennings is a deep threat but hes so big he gets used as a possession receiver. Also, Callaway looks to be faster...wow!

Herbstreit was right aboug Guarantano not being part of the game. Hope he gets the message from natl TV...if he were called on tonight to play, he had no idea what coverages, stunts, disguises etc we were facing. Completely sat there and pouted. I understand for 1 game...hes a Vol and i am not gonna ride him...but if he keeos that up and tries to divide the locker room...we gotta do something. Dormady sat for 2 years, and hes a 4 star also. This aint HS, and no player is bigger than the team

GT defense was pretty bad though, UT had the ball 18 minutes and scored 42 points --- GT had it 56 minutes and lost --- on a side note F ESPN for constantly putting the camera on JG hoping he would look like that quitter Hurd did --- JG will get his turn this Sat -- keep your chin up JG, you never know what could happen (as shown in the UGA game this past Sat)

Dormady had a good finish but we're going to need a running QB before the season is over with that oline play. Conference play is going to force us to go blow for blow with TDs quickly and we struggled until the 4th. It's a new season but Jones has proven to have teams that win at the last minute and the luck will run out unfortunately.

Clean sheet for Dormady and the rest of the Vols re: turnovers.

Add in +2 fumble recoveries and that was key to surviving into overtime. Just one turnover would have been enough to cost the game. Great job to all the skills players taking care of the rock.

I wasn't thrilled with a few of his decisions, but we ran Nathan Peterman off after a WAY worse start than that and the kid got himself into the NFL.

Dormady has obvious talent and the offensive line improved after a shaky 1st quarter.

I still think we need to give Guarantano meaningful reps to get an idea of what he brings to the table, but there's no rush. We need to let this offense flow through JK.

Not sure that I completely agree. Not saying they were Bama caliber but their defensive backs are pretty legit. And their linebackers perused quickly and closed the gap. They unraveled at the end if the game but I don't think I would say they played "pretty bad".

I honestly felt GT executed very very well on both sides of the ball. They executed their game plan very well. Wee just refused too quit and I love that about or team. Just my opinion...

I was thinking the whole time he just needed to settle in, there was no need to take him out. It was the defense, or rather GT's unbelievable offense that was the real concern. We didn't really have the ball long enough to get Dormady many snaps in the first half.

I'm rooting for dormandy, but the best thing that happened to him tonight was jj going out. He had a touchdown in the first quarter that he didn't see because he was looking for jj every play. I really hope he does well, but he has a problem of telegraphing plays. Hope the coach fixes it, because I knew who he was throwing to almost every play
