Actually, spelt or spelled can be used. In the US spelled is more commonly used though. Spelt is acceptable in the UK and the rest of the world. Good day.

I want anyone who wants to play for UT, no matter if they love UT or they want to get to the NFL.

As long as they play hard and bring max effort...I've no qualms.

I really believe if a kid lets 10% negative replies overshadow 90% positive replies, then we do not need him. I also think that if you are reading a forum and you dont realize that a third of the people in the world are ignorant, then when you go to a ballgame or to watch a movie and the person on your left looks smart and the person on your right looks smart then.......................................you know....oh wait no you dont. :)

The same country where people are allowed to spout moronic crap like this. At this point, it seems that fans like you are trying to run him off just to spite the people that would like to have him.

Well guess what? You would have to run off 90% of our current team, the players you've loved for the last 20 years and all future recruits.

I don't agree with some of the ways that Markeith displays his opinions but he's a kid. He is a phenomenal talent and deserves an opportunity to shine as much as anyone despite the fact that you don't approve of how he hits on women or uses slang.

The type of mentality you are displaying is why the South is looked down upon despite the majority of it's inhabitants not being this ignorant. You are acting just like the idiots at Ole Miss who refused to stop with "The South Will Rise Again" chant.

It is not the spelling I am concerned about. Anyway, if he signs with the vols I will support him. I just hope he matures a little bit. Bryce Brown was similar and he worked out. The ones that seem mature during recruiting sometimes don't work out too.

If Wendesday doesn't hurry and get here I am going to go crazy :gun:

The point is that this shouldn't even be an issue. If people want to be this ignorant, fine. But the mods should delete it and give warnings to make sure it doesn't harm the team we all love.

Not everyone will be so understanding of the passion of our fanbase and so quick to forgive personal attacks even if they are coming from the minority.

However, lately they haven't been so much in the minority. About 1 of every 3 posts in this and other Ambles threads have been downright ignorant, low-class trash coming from people who should be old enough to know better.

The opinions aren't as bad as the racist undertones that come through. Never, ever, ever have I heard a recruit be criticized for sounding too country but you continually see kids called "thugs" for using slang that is associated with black culture.

How was Bryce similar? You are just completely talking out of your rear! Bryce is a humble, quiet Christian kid who never said anything in his recruitment.

You assume that because Butler was in the media representing him that you know Bryce's personality and that is pathetically stupid as is you acting like you have any clue about the type of person Ambles is.

Hey, if the shoe fits wear it. Nearly every post I've seen slamming Ambles has an undertone that says "I don't like the way that there boy talks".

Tennessee isn't known for being a social Mecca and stuff like this hurts our image as a program. You are crazy if you don't think kids who see posts written about them from guy in TN criticizing their slang don't somewhat assume they might be racist.

I'm not saying that's definitely the way it is but why leave that to interpretation?

I've got to be honest. Yall compare him to Ochocinco like its such a bad thing, or Chad Ochocinco is a cancer in the locker room. But the fact of the matter is, if Chad Ochocinco was eligible to play at UT tomorrow, yall would all go out and buy Orange and White 85 jerseys IMMEDIATELY. The man produces and backs it up. Yeah he may have got shut down on "Revis Island" in the playoffs, but just look at how they got there. That franchise is on his shoulders. He's out for a season, they tank. He and Carson are healthy, they win the division. And the guy is harmless, similar to Markeith. Markeith Ambles is about as harmless in what he's doing as Chad. I'd rather him try to get all this attention and commit to UT than commit to UT secretly and rob a PILOT in a prius at 2 am. Attention hungry receivers do what they do because they can back it up. And if Markeith is as good as half the hype, I want him to commit to Tennessee IMMEDIATELY. And if he's a Chad Ochocinco clone, hell I don't care if he changes his last name to Tebow, as long as he produces on the field and harmlessly stays out of trouble:rock: GBO
