Three teams I never want to see go to or win a national championship again: Bama, Georgia, Florida.
Cheering for your rival to advance to the national title just because they are in your conference makes no sense. It only gives them more leverage in recruiting
Lol. . ..what?Florida is broke and the chumps after how they lost to the gumps, well, they may never be the same. I bet the chumps are glad they didn't face the gumps in the SECCG. They never would have made it to the playoffs.
Once we get out of the ditch SEC football will be more fun to watch. It's on us to get better.
Don't sleep on the Vols SEC. We are working our way back. It's taking long enough but we are working on it.
I did get 2 out of the 3 things I wanted from the NC game. Both to lose and for the loss to traumatic. The chumps are rattled. Somebody had to win.
If you like last place and being awarded the Sportsmanship Trophy because they give it to the last place team that can 't win, fine chant SEC all you want. Me? I'd be working like $#@! to get back to being feared and winning, no time for self pity and last place feeling sorry for the loser trophy handouts.
Astonishing that there are so many on here actively campaigning that Vol fans should be carrying water for two of our biggest rivals.
It's borderline pathetic that this is what it has come to...a segment of the fan base wants to live vicariously through Alabama and Georgia to get a taste of winning again instead of worrying about their own program.
I think it's pathetic that some Vol fans are so emotionally fragile that they can't recognize others success and congratulate their competitors. I got news for you, our fellow SEC teams are not going to roll over and play dead so we can beat them no matter how much you hate them. It's better to rise to their level and compete rather than hope they get worse.
Damn, I know I'm getting old, but there is still such a thing as pride, class, and good sportsmanship!! UT used to be one of those types of fan bases, it's a shame to see that hijacked by a small, but very vocal minority.
To the SEC first, Tennessee second fan idiots ITT.......
1) I'm assuming you cheered for LSU in the 2007 SECG because if we had beat them it would have knocked an SEC team out of the NC game and god forbid that might ever happen.
2) You were happy Cade Mays stayed in conference and went to a rival because it keeps them strong and that helps us apparently?
3) Since the SEC started their "dominance" as a conference in 2007 and that is supposedly good for the Vols, can you list all the positives that happened to us as a football program since that time?
Thanks.
So we should be happy we got killed by Bama, because beating us allowed them to win the NC. I dont think so.

If that is what you take from the conversation, then hate on. You and others like you simply do not WANT to understand that there is something outside of your narrow minded view of NCAA football after the regular season is over. If you think pulling for the conference in the CFP is the same as pulling for UT to lose in the regular season, you have a special form of mental issue that I am not equipped to meet.
I guess if the rest of the conference is strong it makes it okay for us to lose to all of them?
Hell, I don't know.
I'm with you.
Yeah, i asked earlier and someome told me we were the best 4-8 team in the country. So i felt better
OK, how about our new head coach is on one side and our new DC is on the other? If both do well, it help open the doors to a few more recruits. Good enough, Francis?
You too. Get on the short bus with the rest of the crowd.
So far your theory is not panning out. On Rivals, UT has dropped from 15 to 16, and while Bama has dropped from 6 to 9, Georgia still remains 1.
While we have had some good ones come in, the door is not flinging open as wide as many of you expected.
We suck because we suck. Not because Bama, GA, etc. are doing well, it's because we suck.
If wanting the others to suck SO we can do well is where you guys are, then trade in your orange and go pull for Cincy or UCF or hell, Kiffy would love to have some new fans at FAU.
